Do any of you miss MADtv at all? I personally think it was much better than SNL. I find SNL to be a tad overrated. It's hardly given me as many laughs throughout the years as MADtv used to. I think part of the reason SNL got to keep going was because it's been around for so much longer that it's almost like a tradition & train that just keeps going even if the quality isn't quite always there. I really wish they could somehow bring MADtv once again, if not on FOX, perhaps another network, but there was some great content there.

Some of my favorite comedians featured there were Aries Spears, Michael McDonald (Stuart), Alex Borstein (Miss Swan, now of course better known for Family Guy), Artie Lange, Bobby Lee, & several others.

"In Living Color" of course was quite the classic itself, probably more than MADtv considering all the young talent it showcased. Unfortunately I wasn't always quite of the age exactly to appreciate it as much as I should've, but as I got older & caught some re-runs, I definitely was able to see how it was so popular. I'm surprised it lasted so shortly though.

How would you personally rank the three by your preference?

Also, if you don't mind sharing, who on any of these shows, were some of your favorite comedians to watch perform as well as some of your favorite characters created?

MadTV was preferred over SNL at my house.

Living Color is a whole topic in itself

SNL is never funny too me... the humor is bland and boring. I only like it when JT is on

Bobby Lee had an awesome appearance in an episode of HBO's "Curb Your Enthusiasm" with Larry David as the Korean Bookie:

In Living Color was amazing.   Jennifer Lopez >>>  Mad TV >>> SNL

The only real knock against In Living Color was the staying power.  I think they only  had 2 or 3 seasons.   If I remember correctly, someone else took over after Wayans left and it really fell off.

anyone watch key and peele?  overall not a very good, but they have the occasional sketch that's pretty funny...this one making fun of the outlandish names of football players

anyway, living color #1 for me

SNL hasn't been funny in awhile, though i usually still DL and watch them, and madTV didn't watch it all that much, but as a whole, was probably better than SNL

In Living Colour had two decent seasons then it fell apart really quickly.  And watching it now, it hasn't aged well at all.

SNL has its ups and downs (currently its just horrible), but its had a long history of setting and dictating trends in mainstream comedy.  When its good, its really good, when its bad, its simply awful.

MadTV was weak on all fronts.  A couple decent cast members here and there, but for the most part it was immediately a tired SNL wannabe along the lines of Fridays in the early '80s.

'In Living Color' had a lot of classic musical performances too.

Whatever happened to these guys? Were they legitimately one hit wonders?

A lot of NBA arenas use a little portion of this song for anytime there's a jump ball, lol.

By the way, look at J-Lo in the beginning of the video with the short hair & pale ass skin.

I miss In Living Color. The whole cast was crazy talented. Much more energy than the other two shows & the musical guests was a nice touch.
