I honestly think Kareem is one of the most UNDERRATED Centers in NBA history.  I feel like most people always overlook him for some reason and he rarely gets the recognition he deserves.

He wasn't the flashiest player nor did he have the greatest & most endearing personality to attract people (those could be some reasons), but the bottomline is he got the damn job done night in and night out. Probably the most consistent player of all time for sure.

Word. It kills me to hear people routinely putting Shaq over Kareem in greatest Laker center ever conversations. It's like people forget what Kareem did in the 80's or something. He's a top 3 player of all time IMO, right behind MJ and Magic.

He is top 3 all time. He can EASLY challenge Jordan as number 1. Same goes for wilt.

It all depends on the person.

Indeed. Kareem also has 6 rings like MJ, a fact a lot of people forget

Love Magic and watched his entire career...my favorite period as a laker fan...but he's not top 3 imo.  closer to 5-10 but i cant argue that he was the 2nd best laker to WATCH in my life to Kobe #1.

Praying for 1. Kobe's Health, 2. High Draft Pick (Randle!) 3. Miracle Trade (Not yet), 4. Quality Free Agent (Boozer, kind of), 5. Brilliant Coaching Hire (Byron!...but the jury is out)

Off topic: if Kobe keeps up 25,5,5 for another 3 years. He can be top 3 cuz of his longtivaty

He's No.2 in my personal rankings. Jordan being No.1 is not a knock to Kareem. MJ was simply the best at everything he did.

Jordan was a better sales person than he was a basketball player. That is saying something. Jordan built his image up in a way where he cannot be touched even though some players may legitimately be better than him if humans were able to properly dev. a way to measure such things. No matter what.. Jordan and kareem top three all time. It will be that way for quite some time

Agree with Wilt rounding out the 3.  Funny thing is, i was a fan back then (same age as magic) and Laker fans were even eye rolling kareem as he dropped off in production and consistency his last couple years. We are an ungrateful bunch of whiners us fans. Always will be.
