personally, Like Clockwork (QOTSA) should be in the album of the year, it's the best album out there, it can compete with Daft Punk's RAM

KDot is nominated for best new artist? In what way is he new?

MMLP2 isn't even nominated for best rap album? How does the second top selling album of the year not get a nomination?

MMLP2 wasn't even that good... Was better than Yeezus though LOL

KDot got snubbed last year cause he didn't meet the deadline. They put him on this year.

Macklemore's album was slept on by a lot of people. Maybe it had to do with his big commercial hits, but other than that his whole album is full of deeper stuff then you find on most today. Surprised they nominated him and ryan lewis together, they did have both their names on a lot of songs though.

Never really watch the grammy's. Do you guys tune in or just look up the results?

I tune in for performances basically. I listened to Mack's album; wasn't a fan. Thought GKMC was wayy better and it definitely deserves the award over The Heist.. People don't have to agree with me.

Oh I am not saying the heist deserves it either I agree that GKMC was  great. I was just pointing out that a lot of people dont know that Mack be spitting that real ish on his tracks not the just the commercial stuff of his you hear on the radio and in the commercials. The content of his rap album was a lot deeper then what you find in a lot today.

He's a good rapper. I like his songs but Ryan Lewis makes his tracks exponentially better.

Politics people. Grammys are basically owned by Clive Davis and Russel Simmons.

For any artist not somehow economically affiliated with either of those two people to win a Grammy would be shocking.

It's always nice for the nomination but Hip Hop rarely wins AOTY. One album that should be in R&B or somewhere, unless it was too new? Is this:
