Don't forget about Anthony Davis

Yea
He is a bit lean and undersized, total pf/c.. But he would be hard pressed to go vs the true big centers... Like hibbert and chandler.

There has been a weakness at the center spot in the nba

Looks like most 7 footers entering the league are fairly lean. I wish we could get more big guys around 280-300lbs, slow down the game a bit.

On the hornets web page, he is listed as a pf
Last season, robin Lopez started 82 games... At center

He is 6'10 220

Pelicans are moving him to center full time now.. But he is still in transition from pf to c

But we are splitting hair here

Also, just to throw this out there... Dwight Howard was a pf when he came into the nba

He's played a lot at C this year due to injuries and lack of a real C in place but they want him at the 4.

Man if he develops an NBA Frame, he will be a force in the paint on both ends!! Hopefully, he doesn't get injured like most big men. I really wish we can pick him up.

I doubt we're coming in the top 3-4. I'd say we'll be around 6-10. I want to get Exum, Gordon, or Smiart.

He needs to lift some weights. So he can get big with bigger people.

True. But at 7 foot and 250 pounds he's about the same size as Tim Duncan and Olajuwon, so it's not like he's a Nerlens Noel type tweener.

Also, although i have zero evidence to back it up, i think being a bit lighter could help in avoiding injuries.

being lighter does help prevent injury just by gravity. less weight=less gravity pressing on knees=less pressure on the knees

but that doesn't mean being lighter will prevent injury, just improves the odds

If Embiid dropped his body-fat % a little bit and gained about 15-20 pounds of muscle, his size would be ideal. Similar to DeAndre Jordan. Imagine that, Jordan with a post-game, a free throw shot, and perhaps even a 3pointer. Scary.

Then he'd be a 30 pounds heavier Anthony Davis.

Embiid is something special man. Already knows how to pass out on double and triple teams, not only has a back to the basket game but he has a face to basket game, he can shoot the mid and is a defensive anchor.
