Lakers are allowing 103.48 points per game.  (Not sure if that is updated after tonight)

If it weren't for the Sixers allowing a hilarious and down right sad 109.30 points a game, we'd be at the very bottom.

Don't you dare think about placing one ounce of blame on MDA....hater.

Yep interior defense is the worst in the league.  While prior to the OKC game our perimeter D was actually top 11 if I remember correctly.  Anyway.  yeah.  Rebounding and interior defense is girking us right now.

D'Antoni brings this wherever he goes.

The fun part is that teams he leaves do not recover quickly.

I said it when D'Antoni was hired and I will say it now. The Lakers will not be a championship team for a long long time. If they match the drought from 88 to 99, I won't be surprised at all.

You can blame MDA all you want, but we just do not have the talent down low (interior wise).

Uh- huh sure.

Talent doesn't matter when there's no direction. Ever watch a movie done by a crappy director? You can have all the talent in the world but if the captain is bad, everything else follows.

They don't have the talent at any position other than Kobe. But we knew that at the beginning of the season. They are a flawed roster, and were bad before injuries, with injuries they are just terrible.

I'm sure D'Antoni will change the starting lineup again, not coach defense, continue to thin his "system" works, yell at the team when they don't play defense, blame effort of players and mumble his way through another crappy season.

As long as D'Antoni is on the sidelines the Lakers have ZERO hope of accomplishing anything besides becoming a laughing stock of the NBA.

Funny, the Lakers had Dwight Howard last season and still allowed 101 points a game.

AND before we start the "Dwight Howard wasn't himself" bit, he averaged 2 blocks a game, like he has done throughout his career and is in fact averaging less this season with the Rockets (under 2 a game).

That was D'Antoni's defense WITH a legit anchor down low.

<br />Agree with everything. Feels like crap knowing this season is wasted, and probably next season too.

Those stats will continue to inflate the more time our PG's stay injured. With no legitimate PG to orchestrate our offense, we'll have more turnovers leading to easier fastbreak opportunities for opposing teams.

And of course with no defensive rebounding...well we saw what happens.

God I wish Dwight Howard re-signed with us.
