That's debatable especially with D'Antoni/Nelson's system. Players value and stats tend to inflate, but that doesn't necessarily mean they are improving.

We can say the same about Pop. Roger Mason? Guys got better under MDA

Amare, Felton, Blake, Farmar.

It's not like we have the most possessions in the league.

Sacre is playing better D⬅

Sacre is alright for what he is. An average backup big at best. With that being said. He defended pretty well down the strecth

Sacre's role will be more defined as a rim protector and rebounder. Sacre has only started two games, so other teams haven't exactly scouted and adjusted to him. I don't expect Sacre to continue to do as well finishing the P&R, but that doesn't mean he won't. If Sacre can prove to be a viable rim protector, that'll be more than enough for the Lakers. Anything more would be a potential bonus.

Look at Hill. His first few games as a starter he was averaging around 18/11/2 or so. Now that other teams had adjusted to him, his production deflated and he was relegated back to the bench in hopes of restoring his production. Some may point to him having logged in many minutes or his ankle bothering him.

Sacre is going to be a career back up...he'll be lucky to be even close to the player Asik is

How can his ceiling be a BENCH PLAYER.
In his second season, he's currently a STARTER.

Obviously he won't be a STAR.
But I think he can be an impactful on a really good team.

Yes he was picked 60th. But he is big and strong. His post game can improve. He has more touch than a lot of typical stiff bigs. He can be a good defensive big.

In terms of stats.

It's good to see how the team gets behind each other when one guy does good, like today at practice Nick Young

He is a strong defender and defends the basket. Any offense is a bonus.

D'antoni stressed today in practice that one of the reasons Sacre starts is because he can body up wit hthe guys who are intent on 'beating you up' or are 'big and strong' and that takes some pressure off of Pau to have to be the one that does it, but that what Sacre gives the team on the defensive end is what matters the most and why he is starting.     And that it rewards the team having a guy like that starting.

in the meantime from what he's seen in practice he has no qualms with Sacre posting up or taking a 10-12 footer.

So obviously Sacre has been showing a lot lately.

A player starting doesn't mean he has the skillset or talent to be a starter.

We started Meeks a couple times last year....doesn't mean he has the talent to be a starter.

I personallly believe his ceiling could be a Robin Lopez type guy.  BIg body, active, and just does the basics.  If he can consistently go out and perform the way he does, I'd start shopping Kaman right now if the Lakers haven't already done so.

To be honest, I have no idea what Kaman's market value is but I'm pretty sure the KIngs would take that in a heartbeat hahaha

yep they probably would lol.   But if Farmar returned back healthy, then that would kind of negate it and he'd get no play time so probably best to keep Kaman as Gasol's body hasn't exactly been reliable and at any moment he could miss a few games.

Kaman's mkt value is mainly low due to the teams that may need his services aren't able trade him directly for a 2nd round pick and take on the salary.  Honestly I don't see a reason to trade him.  With Pau looking iffy healthwise he's going to see minutes at some point.
