I have no idea what countries are god or bad, is Brazil still the powerhouse it has always been? Is Italy a good team currently? Who are the favorites going into this cup?

One would normally think maybe for France, but haven't they been struggling these days compared to how they usually are? How good is Switzerland? I know the other two countries are decent, but not exactly powerhouses by any measure.

Switzerland is good, almost an elite team but their depth and consistency will come into play. France, if they get Benzema, Ribery, Giroud on the team I am confident enough to say they can overwhelm group E. (I'm a bit biased since most of Arsenal players are French).

Brasil will always be a legitimate contender regardless of rankings. They have a lot of young and very good players. Italy will always be relevant as long as they have Pirlo in the pitch.

Brazil is the favorite at home, im skeptic about my country, they've played like crap recently, will have to see if they have learnt how to play against countries like Chile, but ill give them the benefit of the doubt.
Germany is very dangerous, so is the netherlands. France and Italy have young guys again but im not sure about them.
Argentina imo shouldn't be able to win.

Argentina imo shouldn't be able to win.

You mean because they don't deserve it or they're not good enough?

No, because they lack the depth of Spain/Germany.

^ They've still got arguably the best player in the world though. Can't overlook that factor.

Well that is a factor, but their defense is leaky and they lack depth, and in a long tournament, that could come into play.

Switzerland is a good, strong team, very disciplined. They could raise some eyebrows with their play.

Impossible is nothing.

well Argentina is basically like the 04-05 Lakers. They have good players like Higuain, but that's the only thing that's good about them. Their defense can be really atrocious at times.

I don't think they have the team to win, I can be wrong but they have Messi and Higuain and that's it. And Messi is having the worse year of his career.

Ecuador is the only team that can give France a game in that group they have speed and lot of size . Argentina defense is weak but there offense is over stacked..As far as messi hes been hurt hes still the best player in the world.dont let ronaldo fool you

1. Brasil.

2. Portugal.

Ronaldo has always been better than Messi.

66 Ronaldo has scored an incredible 66 goals for club and country in 2013. That includes 56 goals in 46 games for Real Madrid and 10 in nine for Portugal.

8 The 28-year-old is the top scorer in the Champions League this season with eight goals, one ahead of Zlatan Ibrahimovic, and two ahead of Lionel Messi.

1.20 Goals per game ratio for Ronaldo in 2013. And it gets better if you only look at this season. He has 31 goals in 21 appearances in 2013-14. That's 1.48 goals per game.

16 The Portuguese is also the top scorer in La Liga this season with 16 goals in 13 matches. He already has twice as many as Messi.

47 Ronaldo equalled Pauleta's national record of 47 goals for Portugal. The forward is closing in on Bobby Charlton and Thierry Henry's records, but has a way to go before he catches Gerd Muller (68) and Pele (77).

5 Ronaldo has outscored the Premier League’s five biggest clubs in 2013. Liverpool (61), Man City (56), Arsenal (55), Man United (54) and Chelsea (54) have all scored fewer league goals this year than Ronaldo has scored in
all competitions.

225 Since joining Real Madrid, Ronaldo has scored 225 goals in 216 games for the club. In just five years he has already become Madrid's fifth highest scorer and is closing in on Ferenc Puskas (242, right) in fourth.

la delantera y di maria no son el problema, el problema es la defensa y el arquero/guardameta.
