I am not really familiar with soccer at all but my favorite team has always been Italy (don't remember why), and of course i'll be rooting for USA. I am no expert here, but for those that know, who do you guys think is the so called 'Group of Death'.

^ Yup, but look at Mexico potentially having to face Brazil & Spain. Crazy.

Colombia, Argentina, & group E & H all have it the easiest by far in my opinion.

Argentina's group is a joke.

The two finalists Spain and Netherlands in the first round is also a joke.

And a possible Brazil Spain in the second round is also quite strange, don't know how they organized this.

^ I completely agree. Several things about these groupings seem kinda off. No idea how they go about it myself.

How long is Messi out again for though? Will he be ready by then?

Should be back in the end of January.

I want to see Argentina vs Portugal badly.

Who wouldn't really? That'd be something special.

^ I forgot you were Croatian & from there for a second. Mexico had a horrendous year compared to last year, but still, don't underestimate them.

I remember that game, but that team has nothing comparing to today's team with Mandzukic,Modric and the rest. But I certainly am not underestimating them, I said I can see us get through, but I can also see us getting ass kicked by Brasil and then falling to Mexico easily. But we had a switch of the coach 2 games ago and this new one is pretty pretty good so again,if we prepare well,Mexico and Cameroon should be wins.

As for USA,I can see them losing all three games. I really like Ghana, they're the Brasil of Africa.

Nor should it rightfully so, but they still had an amazing 2012 year, still have a lot of internationally respected players, and are still working on adopting a new change of philosophy and system under a new head coach. Nothing is guaranteed of course, but the potential is still there. If this new change of coaching staff & philosophies can re-awaken some of their solid international guys mixed in with some of their better players from their league, they'll be a lot more formidable than whatever one got or grasped out of the New Zealand experience.

I know Brazil is probably not scared of them per say, but I can guarantee you that they certainly respect them and are aware of NOT underestimating them themselves and that's for good reason. Mexico believe it or not, has played Brazil surprisingly well in recent time with great success.

I don't get how FIFA put these groups together. Mexico limps into qualification and gets a favorable group, USA dominates CONCACAF and gets the hardest group in the tournament. What a joke.

One would normally think maybe for France, but haven't they been struggling these days compared to how they usually are? How good is Switzerland? I know the other two countries are decent, but not exactly powerhouses by any measure.

I have no idea what countries are god or bad, is Brazil still the powerhouse it has always been? Is Italy a good team currently? Who are the favorites going into this cup?
