Well he's doing ok in Miami. I don't know how hard the Lakers tried to sign Beasley but it looks like they might of really missed out on a real difference maker. 23 points and 8 rebounds per 36 min is pretty impressive for a guy making 1 million dollars this year. By the way, I still think Mitch did almost as good as he could've this offseason except for not getting Beasley.

Taking Minutes from either Nick or Wes...maybe he could have been what Williams is, but we are cool w/o him

He'd probably be in Williams' position and our bench would probably average 60 a game.  But at the same time he isn't as good a defender or rebounder as Williams so it depends what you're willing to give up. .

Pretty much plus note that this current Lakers team has no real veteran leadership or guidance. Luckily most of our current players are mellow and want to be here by choice, Beasley probably benefits more from being in Miami than Miami having him likewise.

Seems like there's lots of talk about players that aren't here. BTW Beasley will be a free agent at the end of this season.

Oh the irony. The topic is worthy of discussion since hypothetical scenarios generate interest. Irrelevant, if the context is reality.

Well we all do live in the past technically, people just don't think about it.

Better question: How would the Lakers be had they successfully traded for Chris Paul?

Kobe would have 7 Championships and CP3 would have 2 and we'd be talking about Melo joining them this year.

Gosh I would LOOOOVVEE to see Beasley in a Lakers uniform. He's not getting enough minutes in Miami and I think he would've been a nice addition to not only the current team but for the future as well

Do you realize that Beasley is benefiting by playing against 2nd or 3rd string guys and also alongside Lebron and Wade? He is not even the 6th man in Miami because coach Spo is playing guys who are committed defensively(unlike Beasley). He also stunk in Phoneix and Minnesota. I don't know why are you guys so high on him. (every pun intended)

Pretty much my take.  He's doing good for them but he's a nonfactor on that team at the moment.  It isn't really helping or hurting but I acknowledge and commend him for taking advantage of the situation he has.  I'm just not sold on him playing that well in a situation where a team is really counting on him like PHX dude.  He was beyond horrible there.
