Sign Luke to a 10 day

Opposing Coaches Brief Pregame Peptalk/Scouting Report:

"Now remember, go out there for opening tip, look at the guy you're matched up with, and bust out laughing!"

Chris Kaman on why the Lakers signed him: “I don’t really know” http://ow.ly/vrMhV

It’s not just the fans who are confused by Kaman’s situation, though: Even the big man is left wondering why the Lakers decided to sign him last summer.

“That’s a good question I can’t really answer,” Kaman said, according to Kevin Ding from Bleacher Report. “I don’t really know.”

Kaman was then asked by Ding if he felt he was signed as “insurance” for Gasol.

“I don’t know,” Kaman said. “That’s not what they told me. They told me I was going to play. I didn’t think about insurance (for Gasol). I didn’t even think about it until you brought it up, to be honest. It’s an interesting topic.”

The Kaman signing still seems odd. It’s almost as if the Lakers’ front office didn’t communicate with D’Antoni when inking the former All-Star.

In all honesty this would be the perfect time for him.  But his body has also been betraying him this year and another injury has happened.

This would have been a fantastic 7 games for him to play in with Gasol out for the rest of the season and he may have even been able to make a case for the Lakers spending on him this off-season with no wonder about Gasol.

But then he injures his calf, his 5th or so injury this year.

You even hear that Jordan Hill is STILL in pain from his last injury but then while Kaman is out Hill's going out there getting double doubles as the starting center.

It's doom for Kaman all around at this point.

I've always liked Steve Blake.

Why do the Lakers even waste money on Centers with D'Antoni coaching. If only Kaman could shoot threes the world would be a better place.

It doesn't matter if Kaman leaves, we still have Sacre.

Chis Kaman SHAVES, 'It Was A Mistake!'

Chris Kaman shaves his beard, says it was a mistake and hopes to look like Grizzly Adams next year. Plus, says he's unsure when/if he'll return from calf strain.

He's so darn shiny like a beacon of hope.

He also said tanking is "unprofessional" and makes you "look bad" :D
