Any team that WANTS to make playoffs and is too small, will consider Kaman. From the Heat to the Knicks.

begs to question, would you trade away Kaman, Nash and Gasol for Chandler and Melo?

Salaries wouldn't match.   Truth be told if you get Chandler with Carmelo from New York... that pretty much fixes our interior defense problem.  That's precisely why New York likely wouldn't do it.

I would clear the barn for those guys , if they want Xavier or Nick or Hill. My biggest hesitation would be Wes.

Memphis is in trouble with gasol and z-Bo hurt
The bucks are clueless

The Bucks are clearly rebuilding and the Knicks and Grizz have no way of trading for Kaman and not sending back salary.  Memphis has Kosta Koufas holding down that C spot

Kaman is out tonight with back spasms.

Maybe his health and back weren't as good as he lead on initially.

Get well soon Caveman.

Let's be real...Kaman will be useful at some point in this season.

Sacre might be banged up, or Pau injured or Hill hurt

Why in the world would NY even think about doing that?

They might be dumb, but not that dumb. He might be worth a 2nd round pick to some teams, we have enough wings, so if it's a straight up trade with just him, not going to get much.

Kaman for Jerryd Bayless???

Memphis needs a big and the Lakers (currently) need a backup point guard.  Bayless is an expiring contract as well so if it doesn't pan out no big deal.  However, I feel like his speed and ability to shoot would make him highly productive in the MDA system.

You'd be more likely to take Fredette off Sacramento's hands before you got Jerryd Bayless from Memphis =p

besides if Kobe comes back healthy there won't be a need to get a point guard till Farmar returns.  it's whether Nash comes back or not that you'll need one just in case.

Bayless is MEM only scorer off the bench and Kosta Koufas is holding down the C position nicely for the time being.  Fredette would be a nice project but their is almost no minutes for him unless you sit Xavier or Meeks.  No beuno.

Chris Kaman did not participate in shootaround. D'Antoni said Kaman's back is bothering him again. Hmm

https://twitter.com/...045343011999744

McMenamin skeptical about whether D'Antoni's completely being genuine and I don't blame him, especially after he himself heard differently from Kaman's mouth as he wrote the article on that that I posted part of here in this thread.

^ So much more worse than Pau's horrible performances though?

A few things I know Kaman for sure does better than Pau: He'll knock down that short to mid-range jumper way more frequently and although again, he's nothing special himself exactly defensively, he'll at least put forth more effort usually on that end as well than Pau in at least contesting shots more often and meeting guys at the rim more.

Maybe behind the scenes, Kaman said something to MDA or talked back to him and that was all it took for MDA to use his power & Jamison him in that doghouse.

OR maybe Kaman's back is just that hurt.   Instead of making a story out of nothing why is it hard to believe that Kaman's back may be worse off than he lead on.  He actually had back spasms before the sacramento game and he'd been practicing with the team till then, then he didn't practice with the team on a "light" day because of his back bothering him.

Perhaps the guy is REALLY injured.   Because even when 'hurt' Kaman still practiced with us.  If he's not practicing then it could be a lot worse.
