James Dolan is beginning to lose confidence in Mike Woodson as head coach of the New York Knicks, according to sources.

The Knicks have lost nine straight games.

Jeff Van Gundy would be considered as a possible replacement for Woodson. It is unlikely that Van Gundy would take over any job during the middle of the season.

Van Gundy and Dolan were not on speaking terms for several years following his sudden resignation during the 01-02 season, but the two have been cordial when crossing paths last season.

I think that would be a fantastic hire, though I'd miss him in his analyst & commentator role. That guy's teams almost always play hard, especially on the defensive end. I think he's got the guts to bench you if you don't.

Report: Knicks Could Consider Allan Houston As Head Coaching Successor

The New York Knicks could promote Allan Houston to head coach if the team is not able to turn the season around under Mike Woodson, according to a report.

George Karl went on record recently saying he would not want to join the Knicks' "hell for a million dollars."

^ Lol, good ol' George and that great personality of his.

Allan Houston would be another rookie coach as well, but AT LEAST he has some significant experience already as an assistant & what not several years.

He can't be worst than J Kidd, right?

I'm all for JVG to come back as long as Sprewell is an assistant

^ Sprewell? Whaaat? Talk about random. Where did that come from? If we're gonna' talk about Sprewell coming to coach as assistant, I'd love to see him be an assitant to his good ol' choking victim friend PJ Carlesimo.

Sprewell as an assistant for sure, you'd be playing in fear of being choked if you messed up on the floor.
