Kobe and Wes seem like they may mesh together very well.

yeah I think that as well.   And looking at the way Wes has been playing defense has just been momentum changing.

Wes can handle the 4. It would be worth the gamble.

Blake's been having to shoot left handed in practice because of the pain in his arm.  Comes out and scores 13/10 and two crucial threes.

This is why he gets to ride in the Mamba-copter.

Not sure why I'm getting worked up about these games this season, we as fans never should expect most of our guys to treat every opponent the same and realize that we are still going to get every team's best shot-especially on the road. I will say this though- this Laker team is showing heart and resiliency in coming back from deficits and their chemistry is obviously clicking which is great to see. Definitely proud of them for that.

Ultimately I would love to see:

PG: Blake / Farmar
SG: Meeks / Nash
SF: Bryant / Young / Henry
PF: Johnson / Hill / Williams
C: Gasol / Kaman / Sacre

The good thing is Mitch getting that Jerry West style team of players that can all run multiple positions.

We've won 6 of our last 8 and those two losses(or even three of them) were close heartbreakers we could have won or came back to almost win.  Memphis, Washington and Portland.

And they've also been closing games strongly since that Memphis game.   The kids got a chance to grow in the absense of a closer and learned how to win with each other, that's very important especially for building confidence.

7/9 from Hill tonight looking like Hill again and 19/7/3 from Pau.    Field goal percentage is still crap, but he hit a big one when it mattered so he gets credit there.

For all of the railing on Pau, he is still doing his job in there.

Hopefully the team won't get hypnotized by Kobe and continue the hustle play.

Great win tonight!

10-9 is a respectable record, especially when you consider many of those losses were games within our reach. And that's without Kobe, Nash, and a Gasol that just hasn't been able to find any sort of consistency.

I cannot wait for Sunday. The return of Kobe Bryant. (:

I have a feeling the lakers are going to blow out the raptors and espn will just say "hold your horses laker fans, it's inly Toronto"

Funny thing is Toronto is competing with Boston right now for that 4th seed LOLOLOLOL

Stern needs to fix this. If a team in the east wins 40 games and gets the 3rd seed and the lakers win 45 and don't get in the playoffs, that is just complete bull[expletive].

Anyways... HE'S BAAAAAAAACCCKKK

Well Jordan Hill basically said that everyone is of the mentality right now to make life easiest for Kobe and carry him through while he gets back on track.

Then Hill said "I don't mean 'carry' like.. he needs to be carried like that.  But what I mean is, he can't do everything himself and we've got to help him and do what we do."

So it seems the mentality of everyone is to continue to play at a high level and not rely on Kobe to save them.

I really think these close victories and comebacks we've been having lately has really helped our team get that way and get that confidence.

Even earlier in the season when we'd lose close games you'd hear us say "It's hard when Kobe's not there."  ever since the last few weeks of us and how we've been playing, we aren't hearing that anymore and that's a good thing, us finding ways to close out these games while Kobe is on his way back and even fighting as hard on the eve of him coming back is the best thing that could happen.

It does remind me of the season when Kobe broke his hand early in the season and we had to play a different way and when Kobe came back he was able to blend into what was already working.  I think that's Kobe's mentality right now as well as it should be.

Great team win. We still have the same problems we have every night, but we're adjusting and playing our hearts out. Sacre has been a nice surprise and minimizing Hill's minutes in the first three quarters and unleashing him in the fourth quarter may be our best course of action moving forward. (Should probably sit Pau out in the fourth also, cuz he's got nothing left at the end of the game.)

Steve Blake at the point is still a thing of beauty.
