Pistons run a rather larger lineup with Smith, Monroe, and Drummond. Interior defense, guarding the P&R (which Lakers are terrible at), and rebounding will be keys to winning this game.

Jennings and Smith haven't shot very efficiently, so the more they are limited to midrange jump shots, the better.

On the other hand, Monroe and Drummond have been very efficient, so it'll be pivotal to effectively guard the paint.

Stuckey has been on fire the last few games. He's been averaging around 58% the last five games. He just scored 25 points on 56% shooting against the Bulls.

The obvious is that our bench will have to push it and try to expand the lead when playing against their bench.

Because we play to every team's level, no matter how bad or good they are.

Josh smith
Andre Drummond
Greg Monroe

Is a fearsome front court lineup

And, lakers play small a lot... Cannot go small when they got smith at the 4 or one of their big men at the 4

Some interesting advanced stats

Pistons are 2nd in the league in ORB% and Lakers are at 10th place in DRB%. This shows how critical our rebounding will be especially our defensive rebounding.

If we allow 2nd chances will be good to foul since the Pistons are last in the NBA in FT% with 69.7%

Pistons are also in last place in the NBA defending shots having a .531 eFG% on defence and in 3FG% on offence.

So this seems to be a game that we could be in it till the end or win it if our offence is on fire like it was in the 1st half Vs the Nets. And a game that our opponent could bail out our mediocre perimeter defence.

On the other hand we could take advantage of our quickness at the PF position and on defence if we allow ORebs use our fouls well. They are bad from the line.

It is better than giving up 3s, something that we do often.

Is not necessary to match up size-wise every move that the opponents make.

Interesting indeed.

If we rebound, guard the paint, and make our shots, it should be a win.

Wow. Two atrocious possessions in a row. A terrible no call on the goaltend and then a High School 'if he doesn't make the layup I'll call a foul' whistle by the ref.

We put Pau and Hill in for rebounding purposes but they are beating us down the court every time.

TO's doesn't help but again, we are slower in transition
