Over the past years we have picked up some players like Mbenga and Newble who really haven't really contributed in the postseason. So why not pick up Big shot rob? With this deep lineup, he's going to be fresh for the playoffs. Horry states that he is still in good shape. And since we wanted a hardnose, tough veteran who in the last 2 season was named cheap shot Rob, I say let's pick him up.

Since the Celtics defense is known to pack it up in the middle, Horry would draw out at Garnett or at least one of their big men away from the paint in crucial plays. I am only speaking in terms of the Celtics because they are the team to beat. With Bynum, Gasol, Perkins, and Garnett blocking the lanes, he would be a valuable asset to this team at least come playoff times.

I remember when I thought Horry was done after the stint with the Lakers, but he did helped the Spurs in their championship. Maybe there will be a rebirth with the Lakers if we can give him a chance.

And remember, the Celtics are interested in him also.

Well it's the 15th man. I thought he was totally done in his last stint as a Laker, especially missing that 3 against the Spurs. He was injured last year but being old shouldn't take away his 3 point threat.

The only way we can pick up someone midseason who can contribute this year is someone with triangle experience, and he's probably last of the dinosaurs during our that still has that experience.

First post... Always been reading the forums... time to actually register :)

Personally, since I still think we're missing a guard in the team... Lindsey Hunter would be a great, great choice to fill in as our 15th man. He's got a championship year with us, and knows the triangle. In addition, he can drop the 3 and slow down the pace when the team needs to calm down. That's what Derek Fisher used to do but I feel that now he's been doing his JSIT (Jump shot in transition) way too much. Lindsey's a perfect guy to pop in and slow the pace down when turnovers are getting rampant. What do you guys think?

mcdyess or juwan howard(he showed me a lot in that denver game)
Again - this team, as currently constructed won't make it out of the second round of the playoffs, let alone the West or win the Finals.---fido on 2011 Lakers
