Where's his thread? Did I miss it?

I don't think it's a stretch to say he's the most NBA ready of the big names coming out this year. The guy is built to dominate point guards but I see him as a SG in the league today with exceptional playmaking ability as opposed to a score first point guard. James Harden lite. Except he plays defense A LOT better than Harden and he will be better at year 1 than Harden was. He's already shown the capability to finish at the rim the way Harden does.

Great shooter, excellent range, great at getting his own looks, above average playmaking and vision. He's strong. He reminds me a lot of Harden.

On top of that he's entering his sophomore season ONLY 19. He'll be 20 by the time he's drafted.

He doesn't remind me of Harden at all.

Caught this game yesterday live. Thought he was phenomenal in the first half.

He can shoot this season, couldn't shoot very well last year. He isn't the greatest playmaker, but he can get it done. His defensive activity is what's going to lure teams into possibly drafting him in the top 10

He doesnt remind me of Harden at all to me he's more like a Deron Williams. He's not the quickest or most explosive guard. He can't really call him a great shooter or excellent range yet either seem like he def improved from last year but will see as the season go on. He's not a good on ball defender and is going to have trouble with quicker guards because he lacks lateral speed, and he's going to have trouble getting around players because his first step is kinda slow. He's still great tho Love his leadership and his communication skills. Def top 5 pick

Wiggins
Parker
Embiid
Randle
Smart

He's a top 5 lock, can score in every way and plays tough defense, ok playmaker, decent arm length but a little slow due largely but very strong

He'll score a ton in the NBA, very different from harden, I personall see a slower Dwayne wade

Very similar mentalities coming out of college. Both guys want to tear you to pieces on both sides of the ball and play very reckless

Didn't know much about him to be honest until this thread and seeing that video, but I am definitely impressed. Just another of many this year in college basketball to look forward to following throughout the season.

This guy is one of my favorite players in college basketball to watch going back to last year.

Good news is that he will likely fall between 6-10 so IF the Lakers happen to have a bad season, he could be a target.

he's def going top 5 and im thinking he goes 4th pick. If he would have came out last year he probably would have went first overall

As of right now many mocks have it Wiggins, Randle, Parker, Gordon, Exum, Embiid, and Smart at #7.

His stock should rise but he's going to battle with Exum for top PG in the draft.

Kevin Durant Says Marcus Smart Could Play In The NBA Now

“That is a tough shot to make, and that is a gutsy shot to shoot (a pull up three in transition that Smart made),” Durant told USA TODAY Sports after the game. “But he earned the right to take those shots. Marcus can play in the league right now. Definitely.”

“He is poised,” Durant said. “And the extra year will help him out as far as knowing the game more. I wish him good luck.”
