Wesley Johnson had 5 blocks tonight.  overlooked thing.  And he had 5 fouls.

He and Hill each had 5 fouls and they are both two of our hardest players, if not most. Pau? 2 fouls.

But fact of the matter is he is not here currently, so eventhough only 10% of teams ever win on back to backs in Denver, the game was in hand for us to take despite everything going their way.  Frustrating to hear so many whistles, still was about to overcome it.

Gotta say though, Farmar 1 point, 1 assist... this is not what we brought you here to do while Nash is out.  Blake is owning that point guard position right now.

it isn't even that we didn't attack the paint,

Jordan Hill, 11 shots, 6 free throws.

Pau Gasol, 27 shots, 5 free throws ... -_-

Lol nah man

If Kobe was here with the roster as it currently is we probably have an 8-2 record, that Warriors loss was going to happen as well as the Dallas one.   But the ones we let get away from us late, Pelicans, Spurs, Nuggets, Kobe probably closes.

D'antoni on interior defense

We held them to 40% shooting, but that 40% was mostly all layups.  We need to defend the interior. Our bigs(except Hill) didn't.

Jordan(Hill) solidified himself.  He's great.

I don't see how you could disagree with that. Kobe not only would be able to make clutch shots but also draw defensive attention, opening other teammates. We'd easily have at least a 7-3 record.

Even if the Lakers keep it close up to the 4th quarter, they can't close out games. Turnovers, missed shots, etc. Happened against the Spurs, the Pelicans, and now the Nuggets.

Warriors on the other hand can get easy 3 point shots with Curry, Thompson, etc. They have a go-to guy in the 4th. If Kobe was here, we'd at least have a 7-3 record.

We won some of those game against good teams last year without Kobe... a closer will emerge in games that we need to win. If the team really feels like they need to win a certain game, they can win a certain game and 9 times out of 10 will if they play with energy and purpose. (Unless it's the Heat). It happened last year without Kobe and it can happen without him this year as well. Watch and see. It all has to do with whether or not they give a [expletive] about that particular game. Hopefully they give a [expletive] about the next five.

I'm pretty sure the Lakers give a [expletive]. They want to win. They're the underdogs. But they're isn't enough consistency. We have a bunch of young guys, some former lottery picks. They'll have great games, other times not.

The Warriors are simply more talented than the Lakers. In almost too many categories.

Kobe wouldn't for one be playing 36-37MPG that he's used to playing to put up the gaudy numbers we all love.  Another Kobe's team defense is pure [expletive].  This team doesn't have anyone to get easy baskets and defend.  Kobe doesn't really bring either of those.

We wouldn't need Kobe score 30+ points. Shoot a few buckets and focus on playmaking more. Crunch time, Kobe takes over. Just the thought of leaving him open scares opposing teams, so they'd most likely double team him at one point or another. And I'm pretty sure Blake/Meeks/etc could drill an open 3 or other players could cut in for an easy basket.

The team got easy baskets and was defending pretty well in those three close games we lost.

Very few of our games have been close no matter the result...to say we'd be 8-2 with Kobe is to basically say we'd probably be championship worthy and I'm sure no one truly believes that.  Kobe or not, this team sucks defensively, Pau is clearly not the same guy or even in the same offense when they dominated in 09 and 10.  This team just isn't built to win like that.  The difference between this year and last year is that last year they just didn't have chemistry this year they lack talent.
We may be 5-5 with Kobe.

8-2 doesn't mean championship worthy.  8-2 just means we likely close the games against the Spurs, Pelicans and Nuggets silly -_-

8-2 is looking like a contending team.  Which we aren't even with the Kobe of last year.  I'll say it again having Kobe helps a few things but the main things wrong with this team are things HE can't fix

No it doesn't.  It means we won the games we were supposed to win against teams like the Pelicans, we don't let a Spurs team without Tim Duncan comeback and we close it out against a Nuggets team we were always in striking distance of.

if we were 8-2 you'd likely be saying it had more to do with the schedule and was 'fools gold'.

So there is that too.

it's very possible we'd be 8-2 with Kobe closing out those 3 games for us.  It wouldn't mean anything more than it'd mean now, but they'd be wins instead of losses and that's all it'd mean.
