That's what I wanted desperately as well, but unfortunately just so happens that Brooklyn & Chicago are likely to play each other in the first round SMH.

Check the standings foo. Right now Miami would play either Brooklyn or Toronto in the second round and probably either Indy or Chicago in the conference finals.

Someone get the It's happening gif going.

yeah the 2nd seed has a rougher time in this playoffs.  Miami would go through heck in a handbasket to make it to the ECF if they are the 2nd seed and may be out of gas.

Normally, I'd be gung-ho about this. I hold off on it now.

With Heat losing tonight, they tied for that #1 seed. Pacers better redeem themselves and face ATL in 1st round. My hope for that Heat/Knicks series  are crushed...Heat/Bobcats series anyone? lol.

Nvm..Pacers got freakin Thunder tomorrow.

If there is a game to get the Pacers back on track it would be showing up big against the thunder and winning. Is that gonna happen? Probably not. However, you never know its the NBA.

Pacers basically now locked up the number 1 seed in the East....a win vs Orlando or a Heat loss will clinch it.

Lance Stephenson yelling at the crowd: "We the number 1 baby....we the 1."

Great game to watch, Pacers got a hard earned win. All they have to do is beat ORL and the number one seed is theirs. Its crazy as bad as they have been the Heat still couldn't catch them, showing the struggles their team is having as well.

I'm sure if Miami loses to Washington the Pacers will rest their starters against Orlando.

Bill & Jalen have said for some time that we should have 1 conference.

Could you imagine? The Heat & Pacers would be contenders but would not be considered favorites.

Wouldn't mind that one bit. Too many great ideas proposed by many, but unfortunately none of them happen to be of position in power to actually do something about it.

The Heat have been struggling because many of their players have been out. Not just D-Wade. Sometimes it's Chalmers, Allen, Battier, Anderson, etc.

Lebron's still been dominating those games (along with Bosh) but they often struggle when Lebron sits.

Chris Copeland suddenly plays again & once again he's got 19 points including 5 3s & still can't find any consistent or meaningful playing time with the regular guys. Smh.

They lose Granger and George says he'd like LeBron to mentor him.

That team is shook mentally and isn't getting it back.

I agree. They could use some veteran leadership though. West and Scola haven't won anything and have barely advanced in the playoffs. In order to win this year (and I still think they will), they need to play like they have played most of this season- playing free and loose and like an underdog.

I wouldn't say that. They were in a bad funk (and obviously still are) but also played well in a couple games down the stretch including the win over OKC to clinch the 1 seed in the East. I'm really interested in seeing how they respond from this.

Gotta remember they didn't really bounce back, they had good games and bad games.  heck we had good games and bad games.

Since all-star break they've played 12 wins 13 loss basketball and finished the season going .500 winning then losing then winning then losing.

Wildly inconsistent just like their offense.
