Nick Young will test the free agent market this summer. (h/t @BleacherReport)

of course, he wants a bigger contract from us.

Then he probably will be disappointed lol

3 years, $12 million or 4 years, $16 million, with the fourth year being a player option.

Does this work for us in terms of not impeding other potential signings?

I would like Nick to resign with us.

Lots of money available this offseason.

I think its imperative that we re-sign Young, should be seen as one of the top priorities.

16 mil and Team option for 4th year sounds reasonable. But his injuries this year worry me

X and Farmar's injuries are more scary imo.

I think Young, Bazemore, Marshall and Kelly are locks to be re-signed by us.  With Meeks I think it depends how much he's willing to take.

and probably those four would have no problem with MDA as their coach next year...

Of course they wouldn't.  But they wouldn't mind Hoiberg either.

The key is to get a coach that will give them that freedom but also be intelligent enough to slow down the pace for players like Kobe and Nash but can also give those other players the freedom to still be themselves.

In all likelihood even a guy like Wiggins would prefer a system like D'antoni's over another system offense like he just had to endure in Kansas.   So it needs to be a coach that can teach a blend while being able to make adjustments.

That's why I'd like Hoiberg here because he could teach a style and adjust it to suit everyone.
