Keep bringing him off the bench MDA. I told y'all he & his homie from back in HS Jordie have good chemistry together. You can tell they know each other really well out there and enjoy playing together at the same time.

Yep thus far when Nick has come off the bench he's looked like he very well could be a big factor off it. Without having to even play 33+ like most other 6th man candidates have had to.

What did he have tonight? 17?

Well I'm sure they're not smashing right before tipoff, although I wouldn't put it past Swaggy P.

You would think he'd be distracted thinking about that booty all game long, but he's come to play. Impressive. She probably rewards him for his good performances. Also for his good games as well.

You know what they say. The freaks come out at night. What what what.

Currently, Crawford.

Small sample size though.

Young's come off the bench 3 games and is averaging 17 points on 61% shooting in 23 mins whilst doing so.

I would be silly to expect it to stay that high, however if he can continue to put in high level performances off the bench while being on the best bench in the NBA I'd say it may not be as out of sight as people assume.

Thing is the Lakers are going to have to be a middle of the pack team at "least" for Young to even get consideration even if he continued high level play off the bench.

Not the way he plays D. Sixth men usually score and play scrappy D. Even Jason Terry played scrappy D his year. If Nick learns on the ball D and working without the ball he'll be fine. Sixth Man?? I doubt it. Once he starts playing scappy D the Refs will get use to it and won't call as many fouls on him.

Nick Young the 4th best bench scorer in the NBA

Nice. Nother' solid outing from him last night. He's always seemingly confident out there with his buddy Farmar on the floor at the same time (even if Jordie's sucking at times).

D'antoni seems to think that Jordy went in a downward spiral when he stopped getting minutes with Hill as he didn't blend with Kaman right away.   Said that when they got minutes today Jordan was his most effective with Pau and Hill or with Hill as the 5.  We shall see,

But back to Young.   Nick has been playing like he meant every word when he said he was going for 6th man of the year.

Nick Young says he really is pushing for 6th man of the year. Plus, thinks all guys with dreads have crazy energy.

A few motivations for Nick Young in no particular order exactly: Iggy (impress), Lakers FO (impress), Kobe, idol (impress), 6th man award...

He's not going to win it if all he does is score, he's gotta fill out the box score more than that...
