Bench scored 72 points tonight.

Our bench isn't the question. I think that's evident by now.

That's b/c the bench played more minutes than the starters.  How hard is this for you to comprehend? Our bench isn't good, Williams started and played 5 whole minutes.  Gasol was the only starter to log more than 30 mins and Blake was the only starter to have more minutes than most of the bench.  The 3-4 guys played 20 plus minutes off the bench.

Bench scored 72 points tonight.

Our bench isn't the question. I think that's evident by now.

Why do you think the bench played more minutes than the starters Jody? :)   Because they were more productive.

You can try to slice and dice it any way you want Jody, if our bench can go out there and play at a higher level than the starters then we have a good bench.   Keep ignoring the obvious fact. Our bench scored 70 again.  Downplay it all you want, you'll be the only one hollering it until you switch to Harry's account :)

Our bench has played in longer spurts with starters before and were lucky to manage 30 points.

They are getting 70.   If that's not productive then you'll never acknowledge we have a good bench.

They play at a high enough level to get minutes over the starters, what about that have you not comprehended yet in your 'real' world? :)   If our bench was so bad they wouldn't even produce when they played over the starters.

Maybe b/c our starters suck?  Gasol came into this game avg less minutes than Henry.  This team is a pure bball experiment that is about to go bad real soon.  You still believe in 18-10 when every loss we have taken has been a blowout or nah?

Yes I still believe in 18-10 by Christmas is possible.

I also said that if Gasol doesn't play at a high level that we have no shot at being above .500 by the time Kobe gets back.   So no we won't get to 18-10 if Gasol continues to put up 6 points in 4 quarters against the 6'7 power forward guarding him.

Considering that Pau has yet to play at a high level this season we may have to cancel Xmas on that 18-10.  He's shooting 40% from the field.  Completely unacceptable.

Nope he's played at a high level this season.  Since he claims he got "sick" after say.. one game... he hasn't.   Houston is gonna be the test.  He's got to deal with Asik and Dwight. So we'll see if he gets decimated.

16/11 with only 1.3 of those being offensive rebounds isn't playing at a high level.  Pau's rebounds are higher mostly due to playing with a group of guys that aren't good rebounders.

I'm going to make this clear, Jodie Smokes is NOT Harry Styles.  If I continue to see this accusation, suspensions are going to be handed out.

16/11 when you don't play the 4th quarter is a high level.

We are 3rd in pace in the NBA so they lends some of the actual totals to be inflated all over.  The details show he isn't playing well.  Low offensive rebounding numbers, high turnovers (probably due to pace), shooting 40% from the field and they are letting teams score crazy amount of points.

No way can any player be playing at a high level thats a 7 footer shooting 40 percent....40 percent?

I was a little disapointed on defense in some parts of the game. what we need is another coach. he needs to preach more defense.

That's what we got Rambis for.

If only we had that great defensive player that would solidify our team

We've got him. Wesley Johnson, the next Trevor Ariza Michael Cooper remember? Per Mitch.

Bench Blake, Nash, and Gaso for one game and see how we will do. I am not kidding.

I wouldn't mind this. Just for once at least. Who are we kidding? Not like we have so much to lose anyway. Wouldn't destroy us or anything.

yo.

Wesley Johnson thus far has been our best defensive player. He's doing his job.

And our bench is the best bench in the NBA now.   Starting lineup is what needs work.

It's pretty much fixed with Kobe at the 2 over Blake but that's not going to happen right now till Christmas.   So starting Kaman tonight is a step in the right direction.

no sheet sherlock. Like i always say play the damn talent on the bench & stop with wheel chair pride of rewarding guys mins late in 4ths when we blow leads & or cant keep momentum just cuz of what players like NAsh & Pau have done i the past in nBA. YOu gotta live in the now & sometimes youth & athleticism can keep you in games you might not be in otherwise

Well we currently have the best bench in the league, and probably statistically the worst starting lineup.

If not for having the best bench in the league we wouldn't be 2-3.   It's up to Gasol to step it up tonight and we'll see how him and Kaman matchup with Asik and Dwight.  Xavier is gonna have to work on his inside scoring with Dwight waiting for him and Blake is gonna have to start shooting more when people guard him under screens.

When the margin between your 2nd or 3rd best player and your 10th best player on your active roster is minimal the "best bench" talk is kinda moot.  Our bench is doing numbers solely based on the fact they are playing the same if not more minutes than the starters as a whole.  We have 5-6 guys playing off the bench getting the same amount if not more minutes than anyone not named Pau.

This is mainly due to the fact that MDA can't settle on a lineup of guys that are productive enough to go 18-10

Find any way you can to bash our depth Jody it doesn't take away from the fact that if our bench sucked it wouldn't matter how many minutes they got they wouldn't be productive.

You can play a lot of benches in this league 25 mins a game and they won't manage 30 by themselves.    Ours has scored 70 twice now.

Any way you want to be little it is fine, but our bench is the best in the league no matter how you want to discredit it.

What we need to fix is our starting lineup.
