Lakers got 85 points without Kobe and with Nash and Blake shooting 1-21 combined but needed Xavier Henry of all people to go down to prevent us from blowing them out.

Not promising for the Spurs.

Anyone can play that game :)

I've always liked Steve Blake.

Any fool can see that this team isn't good and won't be.  Xavier Henry still isn't a good player either.  About the only new player that I think realy is going to be solid is Farmar.

I'm sure you didn't think Xavier would make a difference off the bench either :)

What difference?  He's avg more minutes than anyone except Steve Blake right now.  He's essentially playing starter minutes.  On top of that he was terrible the last 2 games.  Henry is good at one thing and that is getting to the line.  Too bad he's a terrible FT shooter at 62%.  Time will show you that dude isn't a good player.  Mark my words.

What's "good"?

Luol Deng? Wes Matthews? Will Bynum?

Like you said, time will tell if he is good or not.  He's shown some promise, that's undeniable.  I'm not ready to categorize Henry as a solid bench player just three games into the season, but I'm also not ready to say he's not a good player either.

He's 22 years old.  Was great in high school, then went to college for one year because he had to.  Typical case of not allowing himself to develop because he thought he was ready.

He's got the tools to be something more in this league. Give him time to show us what he's got.

Tell you what, in terms of all the "potentials" The Lakers have brought in over the last 2-3 years, Xavier is easily one of the best. Him and Earl right now.

But I still like Wes more than any of our new wings. Though I know Nick Young is going to have a really good streak coming soon.

Xavier is athletic, strong but not fluid so he can either get better as the season goes or be the guy who get a ton of charges and shoots sporadically.

So you want to downplay Xav but say Farmar will be solid? Lol haven't they both played the same number of games? And in that time span Xav has looked much better than Farmar and its not even close

Xav has been the most impressive player on this team thus far too be honest and that's coming off the bench.   Farmar is right there with him, last few games Wes has started to show promise as well.  But X has been the guy thus far right with Farmar in terms of impressiveness imo.

Jodie has been 50/40/90 so I guess that is impressive for a guy like him but.. we'll see how long that lasts.  If I went by what I'd want I'd say the entire season lol if I went by reality I'd say likely he'll have a 6 game stretch that ruins it.  He runs hot a cold, I'm sure he'll have some 50/40/90 spans and then some 20/30/85 spans.

Jesus Christ, you're jaded. Lighten up a bit and enjoy whatever win comes our way since you've already thrown this season anyway.

Oh don't worry about Jody.  Xavier just lead us in scoring in his first game as a starter don't expect a comment.  I'm sure Jody will wait till he has a bad game to comment again as the proof ^_^

Maybe Jody just doesn't want to be wrong that the Lakers found another diamond in the ruff.  Wes is looking pretty good lately too defensively. But I'm sure 'time will tell' that he really isn't leading our team in blocks, or that Xavier Henry leads us in scoring most of the time while coming off the bench and did it again tonight as a starter and the awful free throw shooter he is shooting 6-8 from the line :P

Guess he missed him in college.
