Clippers going to find out how much more athletic we are than last season.

They want a fast-paced game, we'll give it to them.

The thing about the Clippers is that they don't seem to be confident in their new offense, and Doc isn't looking like the right fit for the style of basketball advantageous to them as players and there isn't a defender outside of Paul and Jordan on that team.

The bright side of all that is they have a bunch of three point shooters so on any given night any can go off.   So they are a team that can't really stop anybody but can score 120 if the floodgates open.

The problem is when it comes to the playoffs.  But their three point shooters scoring off broken plays is enough to hurt a team during a season.

If we want to beat them we'll have to lock down the perimeter and actually rebound.

All the close games we lost to them last year was because they outrebounded us and in the pre-season it looked to be out weakness.

So if we want to win we MUST box out correctly and watch the perimeter.  Anything less and it's a loss.

Having watched the Clippers most of the preseason such as Majesty as well, I'm actually a little more confident in our chances than I initially was. They have not looked all that sharp. Granted yes, it's been preseason and they may get it together and start clicking eventually, but so far, it's really been a struggle for them in large phases.

We should at least be able to compete and give ourselves a chance to win. Although us getting blown out would still not necessarily shock me cause you have to assume & consider they'll likely be extremely motivated, but hopefully we should be too. We'll see...

Carefree season for me.

Hope the Lakers do well, though, lol.

My general thought as well, as fans we should enjoy our team through the high's and low's.

The best part of the Clippers preseason was DeAndre Jordan looking a lot more refined. Doc really likes him, that's easy to tell.

Like said above, its a carefree season for me. I'm not gonna stress over the losses, but I'm gonna celebrate each and every win.

Other than Kobe actually coming back, I'm most excited this season to see how everyone else will play. I really want to see Indiana, Brooklyn, Golden State, Clevaland, Minnesota, and even Portland. I feel like we will be getting some surprises all throughout the season.

Cheers to 2013-2014. Let's have fun, I guess.

I would but my TV service is charter and they don't offer it, and I don't like watching much on the computer. I'll probably change it up in early 2014 and sign up for a discount

If Williams can lock down Faried, he should be able to frustrate Griffin.

Especially since both Shaw and Rivers seem to have this philosophy of playing them like they are post players..

Some pregame comments by clippers fans:

Lol bet $ with all my laker friends. Beeeen talking ****. Can't wait to blow these motha[expletive]as out on there own floor, i can't. [expletive]ing. Wait.

we are gonna murder the flakers. more important the home opener GSW @ LAC which I'm going to. icon_biggrin.gif

We bout to SMASH the Fakers!!!

Tense we beat them by an average of 13.5 ppg last year WITH Kobe who torches us. Now no Kobe or Kaman, Gasol at center. We should wreck.

I hope we don't play down to the Lakers level tomorrow, if we play to our potential we will embarrass them.

Won't even be a good warm up.

Clippers need to embarrasse them on national tv

They've looked decent in the preseason, the lakers. Our bench needs to match their energy. We are better than they are, but I'm a bit nervous.
