Seriously,

PG Nash/Farmar/Blake

SG Kobe/Meeks/Young/Xavier

We're more than stacked at the guard position and Brown cant play the 1, cant defend very well and cant shoot 3s.

If we had to get back an old Laker, i'd prefer Trevor Ariza, Lamar Odom or Bynum.

The only thing I might consider Shannon for is if we trade Blake and Meeks who will be both eliminated from the rotation a lot when Kobe returns which it seems like isn't too far away by the way

Trade them for defensive power forward and waive Williams

Williams is a defensive power forward.

Yea...but

he can't defend good PFs in the post

I HATE his shot selection

I think his defense is solid in some respects, but not like a guy like Carl Landry

or Jason Maxiell or Jason Thompson.

Williams needs to be a 40% three point shooter or he doesn't justify being here over the aforementioned players

In what world is Shawne Williams considered a defensive player?  His only saving grace is that he can shoot the 3 very well.  Other than that he is barely an NBA player.

He hasn't shown the recent propensity to shoot the 3 well, but he has defensive value in transition and can block a couple shots if you're not careful with him, but I think his offense is behind his defense.

if he hit 2 threes of 6 outta every game and played 15-18 minutes. I would love it

You can find plenty of players in the NBA to do what Williams can do.  He will be at the end of the bench before long.
