According to ESPN Shannon Brown will be waived by the Washington Wizards after being sent to D.C in a trade involving Marcin Gortat and Emeka Okafor.

Does anybody else think the Lakers should consider bringing him back to LA?

Steve Kyler @stevekylerNBA 34m

All three expected to be waived by the Wizards -- word is Shannon Brown headed back to the Lakers.

Just don't see the point.  We have enough wings as it is and SB isn't very good

He can defend and finish. Two things we need.

So where does he fit? He's not a good defender either.  He takes away minutes from Wes, Xavier and Young.  They already have Meeks that has a guaranteed contract.  Thats 4 wings not including Kobe.  It would be a dumb signing.

over Meeks?

In all honesty that's the only place he'd fit.

As our roster stands at 15 already that means that if he was coming through that they'd waive Harris or Kelly. I DO NOT want them letting Henry go for Brown though!

I really don't see any point in signing him... If anything, the team could use an extra big.

Sure you could play him over but he isn't really much of a better basketball player.  Meeks believe it or not is a better defensive player.  Any signing based on the tax you basically have to triple that salary.  Brown at 4M on a team not going anywhere? I'll pass.

Considering the Wizards just waived him you'd likely get Shannon for the vets min if he was coming back here, at the same time at that point I'd only be fine with Harris going if that was the case. We need both Xavier and Kelly.

This is why the Lakers go with a roster of 14.

The tax makes anyone you pick up at this point like 3x whatever the salary is.  Brown isn't worth 4M if he's not going to be a difference maker and may not even be better than the wings we have, plus they'd have to waive someone that's guaranteed.  I'll pass.  Want to see what Henry is about.

Like I said, you keep Henry under any and all circumstances.  I'll feel a lot better once Henry has a guaranteed contract as a Laker.
