Became a laker fan during Sharman's days coaching lakers. A long time ago. You'll be missed, Sir.

I remember thinking how weird it was for a celtic to be coaching the lakers to a title...with another former celtic KC JONES as Sharman's asst coach in 71-72.

Buss, Chick,Flynn Robinson, Sharman...I'm missing these guys and i know the lakers will have a nice tribute opening night (tues) for Bill.

Jeanie's statement was very classy. Nicely done.

Praying for 1. Kobe's Health, 2. High Draft Pick!, 3. Miracle Trade (Not yet), 4. Quality Free Agent (Boozer, kind of), 5. Brilliant Coaching Hire (Byron!)

This guy was about as legendary as it can get when it comes to basketball. On both sides of the most extremes of success with the two most successful franchises in the history of the NBA & mixed in playing and coaching with some of the most legendary players on top of it as well. RIP.

yo.

Hoping the Lakers find a way to get him on the wall and wear black bands on their uniforms this year.
