So we don't respect  Rose's prediction when he said the Lakers will miss the POs but we do like them when he says we'll get 2 top shelf players in their primes?

Honestly out of these 2, making the playoffs seems likelier.

Praying for 1. Kobe's Health, 2. High Draft Pick (Randle!) 3. Miracle Trade (Not yet), 4. Quality Free Agent (Boozer, kind of), 5. Brilliant Coaching Hire (Byron!...but the jury is out)

I, for one, agreed with Rose last season.

I was wrong, but I thought Rose and Greg Anthony both had valid points.

They aren't going to trade westbrook and he's not a FA till 2018 so not sure why he thinks that. Klove isn't a FA till 2017. So if this does happen it wont be for years and we wont be setting this team up for two player who are good right now but who knows in 3 or so years.

Also just because a player wants to go to a team doesn't mean he gets his wish. Example dwight howard. Guy wanted to go to Brooklyn ended up with us then Houston.

Though I will say this and I have been saying this since the lakers beat the thunder in the playoffs in 2010, the thunder wont be able to keep all those guys. Westbrook will learn that team is going now where with just him and durant.  Thunder will not have durant or westbrook in their primes.

Everyone spouts about how smart that GM is but he should have known that getting rid of harden would kill them in 3-4 years. This OKC team isn't good enough to win a ring in that time. They are really good but they needed Harden. They cheaped out and it will cost them dearly in few seasons when there super stars are gone and they have a losing record and horrible ticket sales. Their fan base is great because they have pretty much alway been good in OKC. When they start sucking you will notice the empty seats pretty soon.

Russell Westbrook in a purple ang gold jersey would be simply amazing.

Lol, why wouldn't we like his prediction that we'll end up with Westbrook and Love? That's like saying "so you don't like it when I slap you in the face, but you do like it when I give you ice cream?" Yeah, people like good things.

I don't think anyone believes he's right (I mean it's possible but I doubt it) but of course we like that prediction, why wouldn't we?

I'm not a huge fan of Kevin Love personally.

As the league gets smaller and more teams use wing players at PF, I think Love is going to become even more of a defensive liability than he already is.

I think this "defensive liability" concept is being used a bit too much these days. Obviously, guys need to be able to defend, but when you have a power forward, who can average 25pts, 15rebs and shoot >.400 from 3, his offensive upside really outweighs his defense.

And btw, he isn't that bad on defense. More 'average' than 'bad'.

No.. he's bad.  He tries...and he's bad.

That's not average.

Fisher..was 'average'... Love.. is bad.

Love is "bad" defensively but look at the PF position. it's pretty weak. And the PF/C's are guys I think kevin love can do a decent job defending. guys like Ibaka, Anthony Davis( though the kid has some range and enough of a handle to be really good), bosh and those sorta guys, or at least match production.

Like if we have to play a Huge team and let's go with the the ultimate scenario of

Kobe,Love,Melo, all on the team

If I'm the Gm, I would try and have these players around them

Pg that can shoot starting-Defensive anchor starting.

hopefully Nash and Hill

We can have bench players that fill the other role

Even with that starting 5 being questionable defensively , I think Melo would have a team around him that would not be predicated on him having to isolate early and often against the best team for then to have a chance

i also think you have to have a second unit akin to our

Farmar,Wesley Johnson,Nick Young, and hopefully adding a guy like Larry Sanders and a guy like Kaman comes back for a reasonable price or even Pau returns after being traded

Love against Thunder since 10/11

7gm - 28.6 ppg on .500/.615/.778 with 15.4 rpg 3 apg ... Dude is torching them. Lol.

How awesome would it be if we got Love and Rubio both in 2015 summer.
