1225 does not mean Kobe is returning Christmas. If he's still a couple of months away from returning, there is no way to pinpoint the exact date that he will return. That's just stupid.

It's obviously a statement towards ESPN and their rankings.

Kobe is the one that has been against setting a deadline. No way he suddenly makes one in this fashion.

Setting an exact date for return would be irresponsible

This is something else. Probably the rankings considering he acknowledged the #7 ranking last season

Many things

1+2+2+5 = 10 days till season tip off (I will return season opener)

12/25 = I will return on Christmas

12, What ESPN ranked the Lakers = 25 what ESPN ranked Kobe = TEAM MOTIVATION & KOBE MOTIVATION!

Either way, Kobe picked the perfect set of numbers

Love you how you broke it down like that. He's a genius alright.

yo.

1+2+2+5=10

10 more days

He couldve just said 10 days then instead.

Its most likely about the rankings.

I don't want to be that guy who brings up LeBron every time Kobe is mentioned, but...

This. This is how you handle your doubters and haters.

The problem with LeBron is, he'll handle haters by winning... and then invite them right back by doing/saying something stupid or unnecessary.

That's what I mean. His recent string of trying to quiet his dissenters through interviews have all been facepalm worthy.

It's the rankings.
12 was where ESPN predicted the Lakers to finish and 25 was what ESPN ranked Kobe.

If Kobe needs to be out until XMAS and that's what it takes to play as he did last year, I'm fine with it. Either way we're not winning a championship THIS YEAR. I wouldn't want to take a chance on messing up 2014 and 15. Rudy, Rondo and Asik!!  Let's Go!! If anyone thinks Kobe is not going to play for another year or two after this is sadly mistaken

In the bible Matthew 12:25

And knowing their thoughts Jesus said to them, "Any kingdom divided against itself is laid waste; and any city or house divided against itself will not stand."

So Jesus was taking a dig at Dwight Howard?
