Obviously it has some meaning.

I'm going with what the the announcer said. 12 for Lakers, 25 for Kobe because I don't want to believe in that Christmas comeback. :(

What do you think that is about?

Its gotta be about the rankings. Kobe has been one to say he doesn't care much about individual matchups, so I don't see why it would be about the christmas day matchup

Knowing Kobe (as much as a fan can know him lol) I would say it's about the rankings. I really hope he comes back strong and puts up numbers comparable to last season. You know he hates being ranked even outside of the top 5.

The other day I was thinking about that stretch of games he had in which he was dishing like 10 dimes per, and how cool it would be to see him come back and put up 19-9. I really think he's capable of it. I'd rather see him do 26-5-5, but it would be crazy to see a great scorer totally evolve his game, become like a Penny Hardaway type player. I don't actually believe he will do this, just to clarify lol.

Well he is over 500 points behind Jordan, both are in the 32,000 point range. While Malone has a gain over over 3,000 points I believe.

Christmas came to mind initially but it isn't like him to give a particular player of team hype or importance. I prefer the 12 and 25 ranking he and the Lakers got.

Many things

1+2+2+5 = 10 days till season tip off (I will return season opener)

12/25 = I will return on Christmas

12, What ESPN ranked the Lakers = 25 what ESPN ranked Kobe = TEAM MOTIVATION & KOBE MOTIVATION!

Either way, Kobe picked the perfect set of numbers
