Have nothing against Parker, even said I'd love to have him on the lakers

Im just speaking towards the comedic wiggins bashing that was happening in the first half only to be made into idiotic rhetoric after the 2nd half because well

Wiggins was actually on the floor.

It's really not close. I'm sorry if people think it is. This really is mayo vs rose part 2.

Parker scored about 80% of his points on jumpers. Why? Because tbh he struggled to penetrate when it wasn't a broken play. It's an issue. Parker has a ceiling because of his athleticism level

Wiggins does not. Of course he could be a lazy ass (which he's not) but when he gets a paycheck he could. But there is no ceiling. He lacks nothing other than fixable issues such as a jumpshot

Parker lacks things that are impossible to fix. Lateral quickness, overall athleticism

Honestly from my viewpoint I think he's so skilled because he had to develop ways to make up for his lack of athleticism

They are all fresh, they are 18 year olds playing their First few games of the season. Not to mention wiggins moved without the ball MUCH more than Parker so thats an excuse

Why? Because Parker struggled to beat slower guys than wiggins off the dribble, not to mention couldn't defend anyone.

Me being from Chicago probably has some bias for people like Rose and Parker, so I always thought Rose was better.

And you're saying exactly what I already said, Wiggins has more upside, DUH. He's a freak of nature. My problem is you zoning in on Parker's flaws and basically acting like he is nothing, Guy is gonna be great.

Great debate by the way( not sarcasm). It's refreshing to talk to someone who actually knows something about BBall.

When I see Parker I see 20ppg 5rpg 5apg from day 1

I see potential to maybe hit 25ppg

But with wiggins I see multiple championships, 30ppg, all defensive 1st teams

And to me that's a big difference. It's the difference between melo and Lebron, pierce and Kobe

Parker will be a great player, I have no doubt but there is a ceiling. I see it because he's lacking things that can improve with some weight loss but will never go away

Wiggins and Parker are both listed at 6'8

However, Parker looked AT least 2 inches taller

Has Parker grown to 6'10?
or is wiggins closer to 6'6?

Wiggins wanted to stick Parker all night and that's why he wound up in foul trouble.

Wiggins also shot 33% when Parker was defending him.

But as I said, as of right now Parker is the more complete one, but Wiggins has the more upside, if him and Parker match their work ethics Wiggins will be the higher ceiling of the two.   But Parker will always be the better 'shooter' regardless imo.

I believe Parker is a better player than Wiggins as of this year and even to next year.  The reason why people give Wiggins so much hype is because of the so called "high potential and ceiling" the kid can have. Which means Parker is NBA ready right now and probably be a little better into his pro career while Wiggins are just raw but has the potential to be an Elite player instead of a superstar player.   Not saying Parker can't be elite but Wiggins have a higher ceiling than Parker.

MDA is an offensive genius. I hope he sticks to his guns and keeps doing what he does best: Run and Gun. That's the only way to coach.

I'l go along with it, and I usually won't.  Wiggins is something special...HOF special.

On a personal note, it's going to be great to be able to tell people that Andrew Wiggins came from Kansas...because when people ask me who the greatest players from Kansas have been, it makes me feel like I'm required to mention Paul Pierce, and I can't stand him.

In 15-20 years, I'll be able to move Wiggins into that discussion with the likes of Wilt, JoJo White, Danny Manning, and Clyde Lovellette (ugh...and Pierce).

Of course he is, long as he remains focused.  He has the talent and the ceiling.

As of right now I agree. Saying Wiggins has a bigger ceiling is a big plus to him and I agree he CAN become a better player than Parker. However, in every sport there are players that have amazing ceilings, but dont seem to leave the basement.

If you've watched enough college basketball you'd know Parker was going to have more success in college

Durant, Carmelo, mayo, Beasley all found early success in college

While rose, Michael Jordan didn't score much early

Penetrators struggle in college. There is no defensive 3 second violation and teams run zone for large portions of the game

As opposed to the NBA which is largely man defense with a defensive 3 seconds

Not to mention Parker's usage rate is a full 11% higher than wiggins, and randles is 5% higher

I'd still take wiggins 11 times out of 10 #1 overall. Wouldn't hesitate in the least

All played good yesterday. Marcus Smart had a monster game. Joel Embiid was phenomenal. If he enters the draft this year I hope we can get him or trade up to get him.
