Parker has really underrated athleticism.  And he has the makings of a tank as he puts on more muscle.

The rematch against Texas on the 22nd will tell us a lot about Wiggins.

I don't think he is is that underrated athleticism wise. He can do some things and finish at the hoop, but he just isn't that explosive. He really lacks that quick first step basically. Considering most say his athleticism isn't elite I would say that is a fair judgement.

If a player is lacking athleticism on a college level, it will be exposed, ten-fold, in the NBA. That's the issue.

^^^ I think he is fine on the college level. When you watch him he can get what he wants on the college floor, but he isnt blowing past people and exploding at the level you can see him doing the same in the NBA. It isn't as if he is getting beat in college due to a lack of athleticism though. It is just at the point that you can see he doesn't have that type of high athleticism that you would like a player in the NBA to have.

"He does not have a great first step, nor is he all that explosive around the rim, but he more than makes up for that with his excellent combination of smarts, instincts, touch, and skill"

Draft profile of Paul Pierce. He seemed to do fine in the NBA without that elite athleticism.

"Fluid player who shows great athleticism despite not having overly explosive leaping ability"

Draft Profile of Melo. I think Parker falls right in the middle of both of these statements. He isnt the quickest or can jump out of the gym, but due to his style of play and skill he will be more than able to compensate for not having the intangibles.

Like I said this kid's athleticism is severely underrated. It definitely isn't average by any stretch.  Only if you compare it to Wiggins'.  But his athleticism is higher than people give him credit and he does have explosiveness.

yeah.. explosiveness is there.  As he loses more weight and continues to get in shape and puts on more muscle it's probably gonna become more apparent.

That injury really did set him back but he's finally rounding into form shape wise.

And as Coach K said it was the first game he could leave Jabari in and Jabari didn't get tired.  He's starting to get into shape and get his wind all that is good signs for him.

Parker reminds me of Melo and his athleticism may be underrated, but compared to Wiggins - it's a no-contets.

And boy did it ever.  He answered the call on that one.  Playing lock down defense and shutting up anyone that would say overrated from the last game. Now Kansas was at home and did the same thing to them. But Wiggins was a big part of it as well.  Especially scoring 12 of the 14 points in that 14-0 run.

Wiggins showed a lot of edge today when he wants revenge.  He just needs to find a way to be consistent with it.  His coach has a lot to do with that but he needs to be consistent that's the only thing.  It even took Jordan till his sophomore year to 'get it' in UNC and even in the strict system he had more freedom than Wiggins does in Kansas.

Parker is slow-footed but has some ups. I'm worried he won't be able to stay in front of NBA wings.

We can stop the melo comparisons with Jabari

Melo won a title at Syracuse
