Then put the ball in his hands, spread the floor, and let him ISO a bit more...or free him up with screens...or run plays with him in the post more often.

Exactly

^ Are you surprised that a great coach like Bill Self hasn't been close to truly getting the best & most out of him? Did you expect this at all?

Nah.  Self is always eager to coach "team basketball" with the style of offense he runs.  It's not suited for potential superstars.

^ Wiggins is young as heck, spry, & insanely athletic, but even MDA could've & would've probably ran him to the ground.

I hope Wiggins never has to play a game in his career under MDA.

I hope no basketball player has to play another game past this season under MDA.

Wiggins is an example of someone who would best benefit from skipping college altogether. I know a lot of people will disagree with that, and some say he would benefit from staying 2-3 years, but he doesn't need it. It's not for him.

The second dunk too lol.  The volume meter on the crowd was on the rim.  Jabari kept breaking it :P

Funniest was around the 45th second

Crowd "UUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUH"
Jabari misses
Crowd "YEA-"
Jabari gets it back and makes it
Crowd "AWWWWWW :( "

KU is playing better basketball as a team, and ironically, it's giving Wiggins breathing room to be aggressive.

To start the season, they were too worried about developing chemistry, they lost games because of it. They tried to dish the ball too much, pass up shots, and in Wiggins' case, let others shine...and in the process, Bill Self was refusing to let Wiggins take over games.

But once we started playing our conference rivals, and a handful of them are/were in the top 25 at the time of each game (K-State, Iowa State, Oklahoma, Oklahoma State, Baylor), we cut down on all of that and started playing like we should have from jump.

Seems Self must have read your advice.

Maybe so, haha.

And I'm not against teamwork...but the truth is, great teams are always going to have that one go-to guy, the guy they can run plays for. For the first chunk of the season, we didn't do that with Wiggins. Sure, we played like a team, in a sense that there were five of us on the court, but all equal five...and no matter how good that sounds, it's NEVER true.

Wiggins and Embiid are the two driving forces behind this team. Ellis, Selden, Tharpe, Mason, and everyone else are pieces to the puzzle, but Wiggins and Embiid are the two right angles in the frame holding it together.

What went wrong? Just a bad game or teams scouting him now?
