This is Jabari vs Wiggins has been going since HS and its gonna go on throughout their careers in the NBA. That just sounds amazing. Gonna be a craazy rivalry. The NBA gonna get good when this generation is done. (Lebron Melo kobe cp3 etc...)

Mike D'Antoni is GARBAGE.

What's the ceiling/floor of these two guys?

Wiggins has a much higher ceiling than Parker due to his athleticism.

This is what Last Stand said

"When I see Parker I see 20ppg 5rpg 5apg from day 1

I see potential to maybe hit 25ppg

But with wiggins I see multiple championships, 30ppg, all defensive 1st teams

And to me that's a big difference. It's the difference between melo and Lebron, pierce and Kobe"

What's the ceiling/floor of these two guys?

In regards to NBA comparisons, I'd guess...

Wiggins' ceiling: LeBron James

Wiggins' floor: Rudy Gay

Parker's ceiling: Paul Pierce

Parker's floor: Hedo Turkoglu

And I am being very generous on the "floor" comparisons, honestly, because I'd typically go a bit lower...but these two guys' games scream perennial all-star.

Is this far off?

Parker:

Floor: Rudy Gay

Ceiling: A Pierce-Melo-hybrid - just better.

Wiggins:

Floor: Demar Derozan

Ceiling: MJ

I think Parker has a higher floor than what you're giving him credit for. Their ceilings look about right, but Parkers floor should be higher than Hedo.

Rudy Gay is athletic....Parker isn't

I still feel like someone is going to be picked from #3-10 that will completely change the game.

Hedo had a year of 20/6/5, and you can argue that he actually did more than Rudy Gay ever has.  He just wasn't a defensive player, wasn't athletic, but did quite a bit of everything offensively...just like Parker.  Seems like I was generous.

I don't know why, but I feel like Wiggins will be a Laker no matter what happens. It just feels so right to get him

Wiggins put in an effortless 22 points against Kansas State...and a Top 10 dunk as well.

This could be that game that turns the season around. Wiggins, Embiid, Ellis and Selden played VERY well together today...shockingly well.

Wiggins had 19 rebounds tonight.

Parker has been really struggling in his last 5 games

Wiggins struggled with his shot at the start of the game, so he stopped shooting.  :(

See, that's one thing I don't like about him.  It makes me wonder if he's a bit intimidated by Bill Self and his teamwork-heavy approach to basketball.

It helps us (but not him, as much) that our team is still really good with him scoring a couple buckets.  We're still a threat.  Wiggins can run an entire 40 minutes being a decoy, and we can beat a top 10 team like Oklahoma State.  Will he eventually try and shoot out of slumps while in Kansas?  Hard to say.

yeah that's the thing, it helps Kansas but individually it doesn't help Wiggins grow.  He can't enter the NBA with that mentality.  Wiggins will probably do what Self wants him to do.

It helps that your team can win without him really doing anything but decoying but.. that is the problem that should be being worked on(him being lackadaisical at times or being disconnected) and I worry that a team like Kansas that can win with Wiggins being a decoy would feed into those bad habits more than solving them.   Self doesn't seem keen on solving it or focusing on it unfortunately.

Bill Self Says Wiggins Is Every Opponents “Super Bowl”

“I think he’s done well,” Self said. “I also think there’s another step he can take. He leaves me wanting more, so when people say certain things, I can’t be upset. I want more, too.”

“He’s so naive in so many ways,” Kansas coach Bill Self said. “I don’t think he thinks about the fact he’s everybody’s Super Bowl when they have a chance to play against him.

“We’ve told him, but I don’t think he’s felt that yet.”

Then put the ball in his hands, spread the floor, and let him ISO a bit more...or free him up with screens...or run plays with him in the post more often.

^ Are you surprised that a great coach like Bill Self hasn't been close to truly getting the best & most out of him? Did you expect this at all?
