I'm surprised Sterling hasn't done this for so long.

They haven't been in the playoffs that much to do it.

Pathetic. I wish they had something of worth to cover up. Second rate organization that will always be in the shadow of the Lakers. After Chris Paul leaves, they'll go back to the norm soon enough.

I'm sure it's coming from Doc Rivers. He's the one that had the banners covered when he arrived.

Game 1 vs GS, the announcers claimed the cover up idea originated with the celtics trainer, then doc put it in motion.

God damn, how disrespectful can you be?

Hopefully the Warriors finish these insecure losers off in 5 games, that'll be one of the few joys I will have out of this miserable season...

Its their team, Its their arena (they lease it just like we do), so what they do on their own time while the arena under their lease and control is their business.  The fact is that the Clippers made the playoffs and want the home games to be about celebrating the Clippers and their players.

Let them do whatever they want.  This is a petty thread.

If the Clippers so desperately want their own identity and culture it's a three step plan.

1) Move to Anaheim

2) Change your logo to something that isn't a direct usage of the Lakers logo

3) Win something of significance

Yeah. Rivers mentioned that in a recent Face To Face special as well.

Question: if the Clippers somehow win the title this year, do you put the banner anywhere near the Laker banners? Do you cover it during games?

I hear the clippers got plenty of White Sheets to cover it with...

And even trickier...who do they present the championship trophy to? Wife? Kids? No one other than players and coach?

Would be an amazingly awkward situation.

Like someone accepting an oscar on someone elses behalf...but way weirder
