Did they cover the Sparks championship banners too? They cannot get away with that!!

I know some really nice Clippers fans in real life. I won't judge them based on that site.

Why are we all up in arms over this? Let them cover it up, when people think about Staples Center - Lakers comes to mind, not Clippers. And May I remind all of you that Donald Sterling is still the owner of the Clippers, he's like Al Davis (RIP) but worse, at least Al has 3 Super Bowl trophies to show. Let them have their 15 seconds of excitement and fame, the poor saps almost hung a banner for winning the division, we should pity them for their pathetic attempts at relevance.

Honestly it doesn't matter to me, when it's their night technically it's their stadium. If it's going to help them sleep better at night knowing they can hide from our banners then whatever.

Love all these Clippers garbage of fans that weren't even showing up when the team was crap, and it was the cheap ticket to go see a NBA game before. Now they can start selling out games, so proud of little brother after the CP3 trade.

I'm wondering if this will stand when the Lakers play the Clippers & it's considered a Clippers home game.

Might as well hang up a banner of Clipper Darrell while they're at it.

It's their arena too I guess they have a right to do this.  But honestly, why?  I would hope that CP3 and Griffin would be inspired and challenged by what they see.

This doesn't bother me at all and I think it's a good move from Doc Rivers.

I still expect them to somehow screw it up.

Plus, those clipper banners actually look nice. Considering this is an organization without 1 retired player jersey im glad they are finally respectable and not a joke. I remember a game back in like 2001 (i think) v lakers and Keith Closs (look him up) came off the floor at halftime holding up 3 fingers.  And saying...we scored only 3 f'n points that period! Seriously, they scored 3 points the entire 2nd quarter.

Doc Rivers is a media control freak.  No assistants will be able to talk to the media.  Players are coached on what to say after games, and it is his decision to cover up the banners to control what the crowd sees.  Totally understandable.  And it is just as much the Clippers arena as it is the Lakers--both lease space.  Its not like the Lakers own the area.

Lets focus on the next few games.  Clippers swept the Lakers last year.  Does anyone expect anything different this year?  Is there a winning strategy to control Chris Paul and Blake Griffin?  I'd like to hear constructive comments on how the Lakers win this game.
