Could this be considered as a diss from LeBron on Kobe?

No mention of Kobe at all there and he even threw himself in there as well. I doubt that was unintentional.

Seems to me that he just intentionally left out anyone who is still active...except himself. But I'm cool with that. I can understand the logic behind not wanting to praise another player that you have to play.

1 Championship ring it's argued Shaq was better.

Every other one after that it was known Kobe was the better player.

Heck near the end of the first ring it was looking like Kobe was the better player.

People assume that when you hear "Shaq was the best player on the Lakers championship teams" that it means Kobe had to be carried and it's quite the opposite.

Kobe as a second option was putting up numbers that #1 options on championship teams today put up.  It speaks to the dominance of Shaq when he was putting up ridiculous numbers in the playoffs/finals such as a 40 point / 24 rebound game versus the Pacers in the Finals.

People can try and downplay Kobe in the Finals all they want, but even if LeBron James played with Shaq and put up the numbers he has in the past two finals with the Heat, Shaq would STILL win Finals MVP.  That's how dominant Shaq was.

You know, all this talk of Batman and Robin on teams recently made me realize something.

Shaq and Kobe were basically Superman and Batman. Neither of them were sidekicks and both of them were alpha dogs. Shaq showed dominance through sheer strength and size, while Kobe showed dominance through skills and high basketball IQ.

Still don't know how you rank someone whose career is still happening.

Some of you guys are way too obsessed about what others think and this whole rating thing.  For fans who always say ESPN doesn't matter or we should forget them, you get awfully irked about their nonsensical rankings and read every article they post about the matter.  If you truly didn't care about it, you wouldn't read it and even more so, it wouldn't ever bug you.

I always thought of their pairing as Beauty and the Beast (Shaq not being the beauty part) Wow...10 years since

Praying for 1. Kobe's Health, 2. High Draft Pick (Randle!) 3. Miracle Trade (Not yet), 4. Quality Free Agent (Boozer, kind of), 5. Brilliant Coaching Hire (Byron!...but the jury is out)

Pretty much this.  You can't change how someone feels about a player.  They are getting paid and we aren't, jokes on us.

Saw the James tweet Friday night & thought it says a lot of how he feels about Kobe. You can't expect the guy to gush over Kobe when he's an incredible talent & the best player in the game himself.
