Something to keep in mind for the back end of LAL roster: they get first chance to sign up to 3 cut players to the @DFenders.

So if LAL like a guy but don’t know he can break rotation this year, they could either keep him and send down, or cut and sign to @DFenders.

Very interesting.  Who do you think gets them ?

DJO, Harris and Landry are my picks, Or at least who I'd hope would be those three.

I want us to take Henry, Williams and Kelly into the official Lakers roster, DJO, Harris and Landry to the DFenders what do you think?

Henry, Williams and Kelly are obviously the guys that will make the final roster.

Opening night roster:

PG: Nash / Blake / Farmar

SG: Bryant / Meeks / Henry

SF: Young / Johnson / Williams

PF: Gasol / Hill / Kelly

C: Kaman / Sacre

Rumor has it the Lakers once again talked to Lamar Odom this past weekend.  Sign him or not, they'll keep that spot open in case someone of value gets waived or suddenly becomes available.

I think Harris would be better than Sacre. Both Hill, Gasol and Kaman can play the 5, so we're pretty deep at that spot, but we don't have anyone to handle the big 3s and small 4s.

Harris won't make the squad.

No matter who is on the team the interior defense is going to be a sieve this season.  It will be a giant dent in the Lakers' chances to do anything besides grab the 8th seed and get ousted in the first round.

They'll keep that last roster spot open for signings just like him.  I think they want to see how this team goes once the season starts, then about 10 games in I'm sure they'll start actively poking around to find someone to fill that last spot.  With Meeks playing as he is right now, Sasha is looking like an increasingly viable option at that back-up 2 spot.

Agree! Keep Harris, Henry, Kelly and Williams and send Sacre, DJO and Landry to the D-League.

I'm interested to see Kobe and Young on the court at the same time. Seems like Kobe and Henry or Kobe and Johnson would work better. Young is obviously a better player, but I feel like his game won't compliment Kobe's on the perimeter.

Sacre is signed, Harris isn't.

And Harris serves no purpose here, he was practice fodder from the beginning. Don't get too attached to him.

I agree, watching Henry, there's something special there. I get the feeling Kobe will really like playing with him. The kid seems grounded and willing to put in the work.

I would just like to know why some in here think Kelly should make the roster?

Landry can be let go.  He's 28 years old.  He is what he is.  He's like a big version of Meeks.  Labeled a shooter but only above average at it.
