Steve Blakes's shooting is just too inconsistent.

Two games he's really good and few weeks he sucks.

He again shot 1-8 from 3 point range..

He can't create pass angle to Post player,

He's Okay in man to man defense,

but He sucks in Pick and roll defense.

He can't defense during other team's fastbreak.

I remember when Steve Nash is on the floor Lakers hang around with

strong teams like Miami Heat, Oklahoma Thunders,

But when Steve Blake is on the floor and he's 3 doesn't go in

Lakers looses more than like 80 %.

I hope Jordan Farmar will be healthy during regular season and

play back up PG than Steve Blake.

His passing, point guard skills and high basketball IQ trump his cold shooting nights.

Someone like Meeks is more of a liability.

But you arm chair GMs who are saying trade blake aren't even considering that if Nash was resting Meeks would then have to play the one. Smart. Lol

Completely agree. Blake has bad shooting nights just like every other basketball player does. His understanding of the offense and moving either with or without the ball almost always creates opportunities for either the second or the third guy who gets the passed ball.

And fyi, i think it's time to change your signature to something more fitting :poke:

You're also not taking into account that he's being asked to run the offense with our 3rd string guys, when during the regular season he'll be given less responsibility and have better shots playing off our regular guys.

Blake>Farmar...I think Blake has left a bad taste in our mouths b/c he's been here on the downturn but in a vacuum Blake is a better player and a lot of teams would take him on an expiring.  Problem is Lakers need him at this point.

Nah if you were a GM would you like to have Steve blake on your team?

I don't think so, you want to upgrade your team not to downgrade your team.

That's the reason why we are having hard time to trade our players cause lakers roster are garbage.

Trade everyone except Kobe before the trade deadline, and try to get as many draft picks as possible.

I wouldn't mind trading Blake if it means we get someone who makes us better. But Who T F would that be?

I've watched the whole pre-season. "We have a problem Kobe or Not" Other than hustle, our pg position is still a Big Problem. Our interior and transition defense is an even bigger problem. Blake is all over the place, Nash looks 40 and I have no idea what to make of Farmar. Pau and Kaman have been playing great offensively but defensively they both look pretty bad. I hope once we have 10 games or so under our belts we start to gel defensively. I was really hoping to see J Hill play more but I noticed he doesn't protect the rim as I thought. Great hustle, good rebounder but it seemed to stop there this pre-season. Kelly looked like a rookie (big time) Wesley is coming off a foot injury and played like crap. I'm hoping he can create his own shot and really finish at the rim ala Rudy Gay. If not, I hope Rudy is in our future plans. When the dust settles and some of the pressure is off to make the team, I feel everything should fall into place. As of now Practice!! Ya'll talkin about Practice!!  I Hope so

Nash looks like Nash.  The first few games he looked to be getting his rhythm back but the last few games he's looked more like Nash than prior.

Blake has been playing well except for two bad shooting games.

Farmar hasn't had a chance to show what he can do outside of 2 games and that 2nd game he did an effective job on Steph Curry when matched up against him.

What we need right now is just a solidified lineup.

Which means the periods when Landry plays have to vanish, the periods when we're experimenting different lineups has to vanish.

But considering Farmar and Wes missed so many games we'll need to experiment at least one more game to find where it fits.

So hopefully next game the starting lineup is

Nash
Young

Wes
Kaman
Gasol

that's the starting lineup we need to get the chemistry with.

No more Blake or Meeks at the two against GOOD SGs.

Blake showed last year that he can play - Once he gets into his groove, he will be good for us. Meeks is the guy who should be traded. The only thing he's supposed to be good at, he can't even do.
