I had mini heart attacks every time Meeks seemingly left Curry wide open.

Again.... it was a meaningless pre-season game.

Not for Mark Jackson and his team apparently.

Not for Mark Jackson and his team apparently.

They already have their roster set and know what's going on. The Lakers are experimenting different rotations, and are trying to find the best 5 players that can play together.

I never seen teams finish pre-season with starters until this season.

Its like nobody wants to lose to the 12th place Lakers in pre-season

I guess you could argue that Mark Jackson knows who's getting the minutes on his team and wanted his starters to get more minutes leading up to the season. Then again, even last year he said he was trying to win every preseason game so him playing his starters so many minutes isn't surprising. It's the opposite for us, we're still trying to work out who makes the roster.

while it is embarrassing that Mark did that, he is trying to instill winning into that program.

Our laker team is good enough to be a bottom seed and with a Kobe in the playoffs, i believe we can at least make second round

Nick Young absolutely destroyed Iggy. Although I'm sure he would've preferred to have destroyed the other Iggy instead.

What was left for him to find out tell me?

He played his starting lineup, we know what his starting lineup is gonna be.

wouldn't you figure if Mark Jackson already has his roster and knows who he's gonna play isn't that more reason to REST his starters????

It doesn't make sense. "Mark Jackson knows what rotation he wants to run."

So what in any of that means that he can throw in all his starters in the 4th quarter against our 3rd unit because he knows he isn't going to win and that his 'starters' couldn't beat our 1st or 2nd unit.   So he puts in all his starters against our 3rd unit because he knows what rotation he's gonna run???? Really?

If you know what rotation you're gonna run aren't you gonna REST your starters and play the scrubs to give them a chance to break through that barrier you already set??

while it is embarrassing that Mark did that, he is trying to instill winning into that program.

By losing against our first and second unit(a second time around as well) and taking on the third unit because its your only chance and barely coming through while playing your starters near 40 minutes is instilling 'winning' into the program?

Especially with Stephen Curry's health always in question, I also wonder what Mark Jackson was thinking.

Pretty obvious to me. Jackson wants his main players in good shape and playing well together out of the gate.Realizes that 2-4 games over the season will determine seeding and home court in playoffs.

And with an always tough conference, and suddenly high expectations for the first time in 20 years with GS, new to the job last year and coaching to boot, he's putting in the work hoping to reap benefits.

Always a question if you risk injury more due to being out of shape or logging too many minutes too soon.

Wish all preseason games were fought a little harder. Good for Mark!

I'm really liking Nick Young. He has a lot of confidence and dare I say... swag.

Then why are we the ONLY team he decided to do that against?  It's not something he's done the entire pre-season just one game against us.

Oh...is this true?

Then i would hazard a guess that beating lakers in China might boost Warrior gear there which is good for his team. Just guessing here.

I could have sworn that we did the same thing last preseason against the Kings and still lost. No [expletive]ing took place then....

^ I don't recall that exactly, but even if so, we legitimately had two vital new guys added to the mix in Nash & Howard as well as the changing of the system (Princeton hybrid) that needed significant playing time out there to acclimate to each other & grow. Golden State on the other hand has only added Iggy as a major piece to their starting lineup and the system hasn't gone through a dramatic change of any sort like ours was. It's not the same.

Let's not forget he put the starting lineup minus Iggy in there for the first half of the 4th quarter.  And then to try to ensure closing it back out he put in Iggy in place of Bazemore to try to beat us badly.
