I'm gonna take it with a grain of salt. Doubt it.

this is what the article said

• One Eastern Conference executive told FOX Sports Ohio he’s heard from the Lakers recently, and word around the league is they may try to make a "substantial" trade before the regular season. Apparently, forward Pau Gasol remains far from untouchable.

• Many NBA talent-evaluators feel as if Steve Nash is no longer capable of playing at a high level for more than 15-20 minutes game. The Lakers, it is believed, are on the lookout for a younger point guard who's a more potent scorer. But as everyone who deals in the trade market will tell you, that won't be so easy to obtain.

Pau Gasol is an assumtion.

Lakers insist @paugasol is still very much their guy for this year. See him as a key for them this year.

Damn it! Why do we so often end up getting great players who are then suddenly at the worst point of their careers or end up disappointing here? I've seen it happen far too much. Just our luck. Don't think we ever nor will ever get to see any of the Nash from Phoenix consistently. So sad.

Pau is our most skilled big man. I don't trust Kaman, yet nor HIll on a consistent basis.

Cleveland and PG that can score more?

  I wonder who that is

Rondo isn't a scorer and celtics won't let him go...

You want scoring PG and want to trade with Eastern Conference??

Wall, Kyrie, Rose.

Most realistic: Wall.

you don't critique someone from the minority of what he did overall. Overall, he did pretty bad last season, the season before that, and the last season with phil.

You are saying Pau is amazing just cause of the triple doubles. Last season that was like 5 games out of 3432890 other games the past THREE seasons and playoffs.

There's no guarantee Pau comes back next year at a hefty discount. If you can get young, cheap assets for him, you do it.

This is probably BS anyways. Who in their right minds would trade a young talented PG for Pau at this stage in his career?

If we're talking point guards, I would accept nothing less than Lillard for Pau. I think Pau is a valuable piece for next year when he'll be playing for way less than he deserves, so to give him up for young legs in a season which we really don't have a shot at winning is pointless.

LMFAO ...The Blazers would NEVER do that.

The win through draft/lottery/free agent space wanting believers. IE teams that have good new talent but can't use them properly. For example, the wizards and john wall.

They just maxed him out. There's no point to deal him if you're the Wizards. Just because the Wizards suck doesn't mean they want to liquidate all of their assets. All that does is turn the fan base off and costs them more money in the process.

lol no team will take pau until the trade deadline and at that point we might as well just take the cap room. No trade is going to happen. There has been no talk of a team wanting to trade or players wanting to be traded that we could/want to get.
