Chris Kaman hurts finger while tobogganing at Great Wall of China

BEIJING -- The Lakers have experienced Kobe Bryant's torn Achilles' tendon, Pau Gasol's knee problems and Steve Nash's broken leg over the last year.

Now there's the tobogganing injury sustained by Chris Kaman at the Great Wall of China.

One of his fingers was squashed while he was sledding down a slippery concrete track after trekking along the wall for two hours Sunday with Lakers teammates and staffers.

Will he play Tuesday against Golden State in an exhibition here?  "Yeah, I'll be fine," he said.

Not even mad, good for him to enjoy himself in an interesting country. Don't know why maybe because I am enjoying the whole 'low expectation'  but he is still going to play and stuff  happens. As opposed to getting injured in your own bathroom, an automatic door, your own car door, or even guitar hero, this is reasonable.

I guess we can count our blessings. Better his finger than his leg or something.

What if we would have had like 6 players get injured something like Vlad Rad's snowboarding trip?

That would be catastrophic, but I'm sure a lot of people would find comedy in it as well.

what marvelous fans they'd be...

"Bryant had come to rage against the idea that Howard's clownish disposition could overtake the locker room, the Lakers' culture, and had warned Howard that he would never, ever let it happen."
