This is brutal but...which game is the over under he gets injured again?

I'll go with Game 8

Praying for 1. Kobe's Health (looks pretty good so far), 2. High Draft Pick (Randle...injured game #1.*sigh*) 3. Miracle Trade (Not yet), 4. Quality Free Agent (Boozer, kind of, Davis, nice upside!), 5. Brilliant Coaching Hire (Byron!...but the jury is out)

Greg Oden Takes Part in First Full Practice

Greg Oden went through his first full practice with the Miami Heat on Monday, clearing a significant hurdle in the former No. 1 overall pick's quest to play in an NBA game for the first time in four years.

Oden participated in some scrimmage stages of the Heat's workout at AmericanAirlines Arena as the team prepared for Tuesday's preseason road game against the Washington Wizards. Among the highlights of Oden's day was blocking a shot by LeBron James.

It marked the most extensive on-court work Oden has done with the team since he signed with Miami in July after multiple knee surgeries forced him out of the game. "It felt good to get out there and get some up-and-down," Oden said after Monday's practice. "You can see I'm frustrated because I'm not as back as I want to be. But it's little steps, and today was another step, getting out there and doing some five on five."

I'm def happy and rooting for Greg Oden. I hope he stays healthy and is able to get his career back together.

^ Potential hardly ever pans out though. The odds certainly aren't in his favor, but we shall see.

I really hope he can at least play 1 full season without getting injured. Doesn't matter if he gets garbage minutes.

his potential WAS vast

now, he will be lucky to be a 10-15 minute player that helps his team. playing in the paint is no joke and he is BBig and awkward.

If he can become what another Birdamn, that would be awesome for the heat

After years away from the league I don't expect Oden to just bounce back instantly.  He needs more than one year to get to that 'potential' everyone felt he had.  He needs at least maybe 2 years UNINJURED to get close to that.

The Heat don't have 2 years.

I can't believe that Miami has Beasley and oden

If they get even 10% of their potential that's a huge win
