Guys are awfully good and critiquing how a player should improve his game but probably can't even go to the local gym and run a 5v5 game for more than 3 possessions

Huh? Just strip the ball out of Dwight's hands when he inevitably brings it down before trying to slam it. Worked wonders when he was with us. That's great defense for you.

Rockets showing right now that Dwight can't do anything to help their still terrible perimeter defense.  Pacers have nearly come all the way back after trailing by 16 and they aren't an offensive team.

Dwight also has 5 fouls in 3 quarters.

And you're good at defending LeBron and Dwight while criticizing the Lakers and their fans on a Laker fan page.

That's lame

I approach every topic from an objective POV.  I'll defend anything that makes basketball sense.  Trying to make a comparison between KD and Dirk is stupid.

I know right, Dirk is arguably a top 20 player all time. Durant isn't even in his league.

preseason....

So if their perimeter defense looks the same this year as it did last year it's gonna magically get better once pre-season ends?

Pre-season is where habits and rhythm is found.

Offensively they seem to have that identity they want, but their perimeter D is still terrible.   I don't see what's gonna change, nothing's changed around their perimeter except the addition of Ronnie Brewer and they are sticking him on the outside to shoot jumpers instead of as a cutter so....

I don't see how "it's pre-season" fixes their perimeter defense.  It was terrible last year, that's not changing this year and Dwight isn't going to help them there, he'll help them in the interior but that's not where teams burned them.

Against a team like OKC, ot the Clippers who are loading with 3 point shooters it's a bad omen for Houston if their perimeter D stays the same.

Preseason games don't matter so the players are most likely not giving it their all. And thats a big key to good defense.

Tell me why?

Because they play the 3 and 4 respectively?

Durant grew up in Baltimore so his game is of that place.

Dirk is from Germany...

They both are shooters who try to get to spots to get off jumpers.

Dirk has gotten more in the post as he progressed as a player.

Durant has more handles. Barely.
They are both are soft for their height.

You just don't have the capacity to see how they are the same type of weapon for an offense.

Im not even going to address this topic with him further.  The more he posts the more he shows how little he actually watches games and knows the game

Who cares about Phil. If we can only win with Phil then this franchise is screwed

THIS. I still cannot believe that there are people that think Phil is the ONLY coach.

As for the topic at hand nobody knows how the West will pan out this year can the conference is too stacked.
