Aside from the cheesy 'they hate each other so they obviously love' each other love story bull, that was actually pretty funny.  The robot stole the show.

after watching the first episode, i must say it's very clone wars-y in the storytelling and character development already which is great because i loved that show

BUT

i'm not a huge fan of how the animation style is more childish now, everything is so glossy and shaped all rounded and just so clean, not very grungy as we saw in clone wars

best part of the episode was when the trooper asked "first time encountering a jedi sir" and the commander kicked him off pillar haha

The first two seasons of The Clone Wars (and the terrible movie) were all ultra-clean as well.  Just a matter of them finding their footing.

Looking forward to Ashoka seeing Anakin as Vader for the first time and am hoping she gets more than a 2 episode story.

welp now that

Spoiler

I don't think its possible for option 3, she'd be way too old and besides were was she throughout the OT? the other two are more likely, however I don't think they wanna go down the Starkiller route again in the new canon, so if anything it'll all lead down to #1 which is gonna be epic.

There's no such thing as "too old" for a Jedi :D   Yoda was like 900.

And what if she is on Jakku or one of the other new planets that's gonna be in the new saga?  Not out of the question at this point that the planets exist now.

This is 5 years before a new hope. Which means Luke is 14 as he's 19 in A New Hope.

Ahsoka was 14 during the events of the Clone Wars series and 16 when she 'went her own way', 17 during Order 66.

Which means she's 17 years older than Luke is.

So if Luke is currently 14 that means Ahsoka is 32.

So in Return of the Jedi Luke was 26.

The Force Awakens takes place 30 years after Return of the Jedi.

Which makes Luke 56 and Ahsoka would be 73.

73 is nothing for a Jedi, whom usually live hundreds of years, if anything she'd be an elder member and master, likely Master by that point.
