Yeah Wes has been balling recently.

"Bryant had come to rage against the idea that Howard's clownish disposition could overtake the locker room, the Lakers' culture, and had warned Howard that he would never, ever let it happen."

D'antoni may have saved his career here with his idea of using him to outspeed other 4s as a stretch 4.  Even on LaMarcus who was winning the early battle with him, Wes would beat him down court and eventually Lamarcus got discouraged because he wouldn't get back on time to catch Wes even if he did score and by the 3rd quarter was spent physically and emotionally and Wes held him to 4 points in the 2nd half.

Then hits the game winning alley oop over him.

Fantastic performance all around from Wesley.

Wesley Johnson said the Lakers have worked on the inbounds lob a lot in practice. It also happened late Nov. in Detroit

Wesley Johnson said the key to that last play was Farmar's screen on Aldridge. Got him the space to go up for the alley-oop.

  1. Wesley Johnson in four starts at the stretch 4: 14.8 ppg on 55.6% FG’s and 50% 3's; 7.3 rpg; 2.3 apg; 1.0 spg; 2.5 bpg; 1.0 T.O.’s

Clearly, Johnson's benefitted from the mismatches at the 4 in transition thanks to his athleticism, without getting beaten up on defense.

I can't think of another Laker in history that I had such high hopes for. All the ability in the world but just can't bring it every night. If he had just a little Mamba in him at all!!!

Very serious. My expectations were not for him to be a STUD but this is ridiculous

Lol you serious?

Wes has the physical ability of an all-star and the mind of a pre-school child.  with that combination, he don't really belong in the NBA

This guy is horrible that i feel bad for him. He does nothing good. Very limited basketball player with below average Bball iq. You could see Kobe's teaching here and there but that aint enough ..
