Bad news for OKC: Thunder announce that Westbrook had arthroscopic surgery on right knee. Will miss first 4-6 weeks of season.

Durant exposed now, lets see how he does

It should be noted that his meniscus is healed. It was a loose stitch that caused swelling.

Not that big of a deal. Even with a healthy Westbrook they haven't gotten' any better since their destruction by the Heat in the Finals.

Better record mid dec-- Lakers or OKC?

Leaning Lakers with this news for me.

I'm also a huge Westbrook guy. Top 7 player in league for me. And the guy i'd most like to see run point for the lakers for the next 10 years (probably dreaming though)

Praying for 1. Kobe's Health (looks pretty good so far), 2. High Draft Pick (Randle...injured game #1.*sigh*) 3. Miracle Trade (Not yet), 4. Quality Free Agent (Boozer, kind of, Davis, nice upside!), 5. Brilliant Coaching Hire (Byron!...but the jury is out)

I think OKC traded the wrong person to the Rockets. Harden and Durant would've been deadly. Harden is a better passer than Westbrook.

Based on what?

Based on Westbrook always looking to score instead of being a [expletive]ing point guard.

Talk about a player in the wrong position.

Russell Westbrook assists

09-10: 8 apg  38.6 ast%

10-11: 8.2apg 42.7 ast%

11-12: 5.5 apg  29.8 ast %  (Mind you, this is the year Harden broke out and became a huge part of the offense and took on a lot of the ballhandling

12-13: 7.4 apg 38.4 ast%

Magically his assist go back up when Harden leaves because he isn't sharing the PG duties.  It's a myth that Harden is a better passer or even an more "willing" passer.  Whatever that means.

Typical.

Westbrook is a shooting guard playing the point. That's why he takes more shots than any point guard in the NBA and more shots than any player in the NBA other than Kobe. This dude is taking more shots than the best player on the team: Kevin Durant. He shoots the damn ball too much

Go blow Lebron or go on another tanking tirade.

Yep....

We'll see how Westbrook comes back from this and plays the same way and how long it takes him to get in game shape.   Till then we'll see what Durant does at point forward.

i agree that Westbrook is a SG playing point (proof is in the pudding, he played SG in college and had to switch it up for the NBA), but in no way is Harden a better passer then Westbrook. despite putting up the 2nd most FGAs last season, he was also 4th in assists.

what's with all the shots tho? can't people nowadays just have a fair argument!

So instead of having a real debate you would rather be a typical internet nerd that behaves like he's 13 when he can't formulate an argument...do me a favor and ignore my posts from here on out
