Kevin Durant's comment on Dwyane Wade sparks social media feud

Durant stated that former Thunder teammate James Harden, who now plays for Houston, should have been included in the top 10. When asked who should have been left out, Durant replies definitively and without hesitation, "Dwyane Wade!"

That didn't sit well with Wade, who responded via Twitter and Instagram:

^ I love it. It'd be great for the game if there was more of this, especially among the league's top players.

His place in history, not knocking him for what he did in 06, but that''s it. After that a continuously collapsing horrible Heat team until Bosh and James arrived.

Whether marketing or not, I agree as it is now and even going back a few year as well putting Harden over Wade. I think Harden gets overrated currently especially for the idiots that have him as the best SG, but he is still improving which I have no problem admitting.

What top 10 was this? If Howard or Griffin were top 5, then whatever.

So Wade hasnt been a great player since 2006?  You guys are sleep walking.  You guys realize the Heat were in purgatory just like the Lakers in 04-07?  Wade didnt have much of a squad during his best season in 09

After 06 Wade had to carry bunch of D-league players. By looking at that roster its probably safe to say that Wade had a similar team to Kobe Bryant after Shaq left. So I think its understandable why they kept failing.

KD is sitting comfortably as the #2 best player in the NBA.  It's really not up for debate.

I would have to say at this point KD has passed Kobe. I feel like based on last year before Kobe's injury Kobe was without a doubt the third best player in the league though.

Also D wade is a shell of himself, would take Harden over him now so have to agree with Durant.

@darrenrovell: Durant's deal with Gatorade will not be renewed.

darren rovell ‏@darrenrovell

Kevin Durant's deal with Gatorade will expire next week and will not be renewed. Gatorade not commenting on future discussions.

Gatorade and Durant parting ways (at least for now) has nothing to do w/D-Wade spat earlier in the week.
