Could this be one Big set up for Phil and DeMarcus Cousins to unite?? Could you imagine Cousins, Melo and a Mid Level Mamba

Yea I could, a team with 2 players that have 0 interest in defense and an old Kobe.  The DMC love affair has to end until he learns how to play defense.  Pretty much the most important part of being a big man.

Could this be one Big set up for Phil and DeMarcus Cousins to unite?? Could you imagine Cousins, Melo and a Mid Level Mamba

Cause Phil at 70 would be part of a rebuild...

^ This is kinda how i feel. Lets let Phil be happy spending his time away from coaching mocking everything and everyone associated with the game besides Jeannie.

Praying for 1. Kobe's Health, 2. High Draft Pick!, 3. Miracle Trade (Not yet), 4. Quality Free Agent (Boozer, kind of), 5. Brilliant Coaching Hire (Byron!)

I doubt even Kobe wants any part of that rebuild.  Cousins has talent but has too far to go for an impatient person like Kobe especially considering where he is at that this point in his career.  Can't depend on some 24 yr old nut case to get it together.

If your putting up 18/10 and you still have tons of room for development, that's someone you should take a risk on.

Sure if you have a team you are looking to build.  Not when you have Nash and Kobe in fold looking to win a ring now.  The last they need to do is help a young idiot try to learn to be an adult while battling out against guys in his age range that don't have such issues.

Damn I didn't realize Phil Jackson is almost 70. Time went by fast.

If Cousins resigns, LeBron isn't coming, George already signed, CP3 signed, D12 gave us the finger and Melo is a long shot; what are we making all this cap space for?? Rudy Gay and Granger??

Cousin's will be re-signing with the Kings.

The chance to go after them if they do.  Lakers still have that puncher's chance or just rebuild in 2015 (which I think is a more viable option).  Go after guys like Love, Rondo and rebuild with those guys post Kobe/Pau era.

Well, Larry Brown coaches at 72. So, it's possible to coach post-70.

Isn't Marc Gasol available as well? Anyhow, I agree a bit, 2014 FA is overrated.

BTW, I don't want Cousins for 2014.

I don't like this over-dependence on free agency. That never works out...

Mia and Houston would STRONGLY disagree

3 years ago who thought Harden and Dwight would be in HOUSTON?

Seriously????

Stop worrying about this. Aren't the games the entertainment?

Houston can disagree all they want. They still have to prove their elite. Miami and Boston are the only teams in the past ten years that can claim free agency contributed HEAVILY to winning a title.

Its obviously a setup but for COuzins = highly doubt it!

But Melo hopefully especially if Brooklyn defeats Knicks in playoffs.
