but it depends on where the individual sees themselves

That's what does it for me. Dwight's too full of himself. If I know I'm an expert in a field, I don't need somebody else telling me I'm one. I'll show you, then tell you. To each their own ego.

I dont mind a guy who thinks his game is better than it is.  Its the fact that you have to pay him the contract max for 5 years and still build a team around him to make up for the shortcomings that he does not acknowledge.  Because if he acknowledges them, then a discussion of whether he is really a max player is next.

This guy is an awesone defensive presence and has an ok offensive game.  So do Roy Hibbert,  and Tyson Chandler.  So did Mutombo.  And they are not max guys.  Olajuwon was a complete player ... he pretty much knows what one looks like.

Yep and the fact Hakeem, a guy they hired to work with Howard along with McHale on his post game has to apologize for saying the guy is still raw and just telling the truth is disgraceful to Hakeem.

I've always liked Steve Blake.

Dwight is [expletive]ing delusional. How can he be upset with being called raw - he only has two moves, for Christ's sake: a dunk and a baby hook. If that's not raw, I don't know what is. Offensively challenged or limited is actually the more accurate word.

Actually, every time Dwight on an iso in the post is was having the same feeling as when you saw Metta start pounding the ball outside the 3pt line: you knew he was going to shoot and you knew he was going to miss. Every damn time. I admit, I had that feeling in some situations with Kobe as well - when he just made a 3, you knew he would throw up anther one on the next possession.

I know I will be accused of being angry that he left, but I think we really dodged a bullet with that [expletive]. The thought of the Lakers organization having to tip-toe around Dwight and his sensitivities is sickening.

if he is throwing a hissy fit that Hakeem said "raw" imagine how he would have dealt with Kareem's tutelage and brutal honesty?

D12 is a max player no question.  Problem is he's a sensitive idiot with some serious character flaws.  Pressure busts pipes.  We will see how they turn out in a deep playoff run.

The Rockets can throw every great center at their disposal at Dwight, but if he was smart, he'll just go back to dominating with the pick-n-roll.

Which will undoubtedly happen.

Unfortunately for us I expect Dwight to have a monster year.  20/12 easily.

Yup, I fully expect him to beast this year

But it doesn't change the fact that he's still immature as [expletive]

Yup, I fully expect him to beast this year

Especially at the end of close games when he's going to get even more easy free throw opportunities.

He's gonna dominate defensively now that he's completely healthy, like he did all those years winning DPOY awards

If he can put aside his fat ego and focus on his strengths, he can be really be something special

21/14 for Dwight

AND?

No title

wonder which team will get bit by injuries this season?

Warriors have a couple guys who are iffy.

Could OKC survive without Ibaka?

Spurs?

Clippers are almost the obvious choice

On the East, NY or BK could be absolute disasters if the injuries fall.

All these things add up, to the Lakers shocking the world

I can't wait to play the rockets so we can hack a Dwight all game, it will be fun. Can the NBA season start already..

Hack-A-Dwight is [expletive]ing lame. Id rather beat the Rockets the way basketball is supposed to be played.

^ Embarrassing Dwight wouldn't be fun? Seein him airball a free throw or more in the clutch like he did for us against Miami wouldn't be satisfying?
