You don't bring out stats in order to defined if a person is clutch or not. This is why I hate stat guys who only go with stats instead of the other things. If it is only based on stats than Rober Horry is the greatest clutch player of all time.

Kobe is clutch.  Just cus a couple of guys make last minute shots doesn't make him clutch. I.E Lebron James.

Kobe and MJ is clutch.  I am not old enough to watch Jerry West play so I can't argue if he is clutch or not. People who said Mr. Clutch is not clutch are just idiot also because most of them are not old enough to watch Jerry play.  To be clutch is much more than making last minute shots.

MDA is an offensive genius. I hope he sticks to his guns and keeps doing what he does best: Run and Gun. That's the only way to coach.

I don't defend it. Not worth it, anyone who says he isn't clutch isn't going to be swayed, no matter what you say. Some people just don't like the Lakers and Kobe, there's nothing you can do to change their minds. Some people hate Lebron, doesn't matter what you say they just hate the dude. That's part of sports, everyone has their own version of good vs evil in sports.

If I had to defend him though, there's plenty of video evidence to help back me up:

That's just last season. There's easily 30-40 minutes of clutch shots from the last 3 years

You don't remember last season game against the raptors? Those two clutch 3pointers? Or the dunk to seal the thing?

Smh. People will make an arguement against the mamba. Just leave the man alone. He plays his way. Admire that ish. He's the most iconic player in the league.

Clutch: The one who performs under pressure.

It can't be measured by statistics like "last 2 minutes up or down 5 points".

We were down almost 20 points against Raptors in game Kobe scored 81. Are we going to ignore that he brought us back to game all by himself? That IS clutch. Your back is against the wall, and you have to perform or you are gonna get the big L. Statheads have hard time figuring this out. That is why their opinions are usually flawed. But haters gonna hate, of course.

If Kobe aint clutch then:

Lebrons hairline isnt receding.
Greg Oden looks young.
Michael Beasley hates marijuana.
Dwight Howard is a winner.
David Stern is loved by all fans.
Lamar Odoms personal life is great.

If Kobe aint clutch then:

Jason Collins is hetrosexual.
Mike DAntoni is an elite coach.
Pau Gasol is a thug.
ESPNs NBA analysts are never wrong.
Wilt Chamberlain was celibate.
Michael Jordan is a great NBA team owner.
Miley Cyrus hates twerking.

I believe Kobe Bryant is not clutch. But i also believe i can fly, How I Met Your Mother is better than Friends and Kwame Brown has a better basketball IQ than Steve Nash.

some might argue Lebron James is the most iconic player the league. Not Kobe.   Im sure some of you guys know where I stand on that.

Yeah, he's clutch.  Certainly willing to take the tough shot at the end of the game.

Steve Blake is not clutch.

Ah one of the few games that PJ let Blake play like a PnR point guard.  It didn't happen many other times after that but Blake still would have made it work that year if he never got sick.    But we saw the Blake we were expecting from Portland this year because it was an offense that finally took advantage of what he could do instead of limiting it.

That's why I have high hopes for Farmar in this offense.

BUT back to Kobe being clutch.   That wasn't the first time he would find Blake for the gamewinner or clutch situation

like the 8 of his 10 points 4th quarter that helped us win against the Nuggets in Denver

As it went seven that turned out to be vital.

And Horry missed a game tying 3 against the Spurs that would have tied the series after hitting game winners all year for us.

The point is that Kobe is clutch and more often than not makes the right decision whether it be who to pass to or the shot to take.  He wouldn't have 5 championships if that wasn't the case.   And one miss or turnover doesn't change that.
